    This is the only way to stop it really, but the NBA doesn't want to see their stars not play. E.G. Spurs v Heat when pop sat 3 starters.

    But they are willing to let the league suffer through new rules like touching the ball after it goes through the net? So they can have a learning lesson then but not when it jeopardizes a superstar playing one night? A little hypocritical and inconsistent on the part of the league.

    Warnings and fines simply won't do anything. It has to hurt. Suspensions are a good way to start, but I think it's better to punish the team as a whole. Stop teams from teaching this kind of behavior. If they get enough warnings, take away wins, take away draft picks, take away revenue. Make it hurt.

    How can the ref not tell a flop when everyone in the whole god damn arena can see it. That's why I think NBA refs must be corrupt, it's like they want to fall for it sometimes.

    The refs are just carrying out orders. If the refs were corrupt, they wouldn't be favoring the superstars, they would be favoring the crappy teams because that's where the big money would be on gambling.

    Back to Dviss' take: Then how about the league fines the refs when they fall for a flagrant flop? I'm serious. Take out the guess work. Stop calling flops. Floppers will stop flopping. They won't though, because the league isn't serious about stopping it. Player fines will never work to stop flopping, especially in the playoffs or in a critical game, because the amount of the fine to the players is like a cup of hot cocoa to me. Well worth it to the player, especially as it relates to playoff success.
