Those Red road uniforms (with the vertical Portland) have really really grown on me the last few years. I never liked them as much as I did the first uniforms, but now they look so crisp and clean.
no, saying that "Damian WON'T have knee injuries" is challenging them. I'm saying that as of right now, Damians injury history isn't on par with Roys (at the same age).
I think Lillard is better than Roy was. He can get off his shot much quicker and has better range (well, more efficient range if that makes sense). Lillard will develop that floater and mid range J eventually and that will seriously blow Roy out of the water.
The basketball gods care not for your excuses! You insolent peasant! They shall smite Damian to prove a point.
You will not survive long enough to post here again... the Blazer fans will descend upon you like locusts.
So, like Laker fans? take two: So, like Sounders fans? take three: So like Duck fans? take four: So like Yankee fans? take five: So, once every 17 years?
I loved Roy and I love Dame. I don't like comparing two players that I think can be our best shot at superstardom.
I agree with this. As a scorer, Roy in his prime was better than Lillard is now (significantly to me). But hopefully we haven't seen Lillard in his prime yet.
I hope you're right, and he isn't in his prime yet, because his prime will be better than Roy's if that's the case.
I want Damian to get a triple double in a game soon. That's one thing about Roy I liked, his decent all around numbers.
One thing that i'll talk about between the two is that when Roy was on the offense was stagnant. He had the ball he was going to score and if he passed it was because he is caught. When Dames on fire he might come up and take that 3 right in the defenders face but if he doesn't he moves the ball around.
It's not as likely, but this is what I want to see from Dame at some point: That look on his face, looking back at Samb......my tooth hurts! [/Rice]
He kinda has already
I'd rather have Lillard with two healthy knees than Roy and his well documented break-downs, but it's really underselling Brandon to say that Lillard is somehow more of a player than he was. Roy at the peak of his powers was a force of a nature ... albeit briefly. Damian isn't there yet.
