Right now, everything is all rainbows and sunshine. Now as somebody who has been posting here for over 5 years, I have seen many a meltdown when things aren't going good out on the court. I mean those game threads get down right ridiculous during a losing streak! I've seen people crack on everything from the coaches to the players and even our female sideline reporter. You know as soon as we lose one we "should" win, the haters come out. Sly/Denny......wonder how they will react upon seeing said meltdowns, they are not pretty.
Good. That's what I keep hearing, but you know what I mean. The best thing about this place and the reason it's the only forum I am a part of is because of the green light we have here to voice our opinions freely. Maybe we won't have many losing situations this season and this thread is all for naught. #RIPCITYFAMS
http://www.blazersedge.com/2013/11/...-deal-to-make-rip-city-two-the-teams-official One obvious concern with such a partnership is how editorially lines get drawn. Hankins insists the organization isn't interested in controlling or directing the discussion on Rip City Two. He laughed at the hypothetical idea that Blazers marketing employees might zap out a "Damian Lillard is overrated" comment. "We're not in the business of censoring anybody," Hankins said. "We're reading the comments and what people say on Blazersedge, on messageboards, or on anybody else's website. That's where the most passionate fans are. The most passionate fans have opinions, and we read those opinions. ... It's not authentic if we don't allow people to say what they want to say."
Nah. This thread isn't for naught, HCP. It's good to know where we stand (and will stand when the inevitable losing streak does come) I would just hope people would refrain from personal attacks on each other, the players, coaches, etc.
The independence, use of profanity, and negative threads about the team and managements was THE first thing I addressed with Dewayne. The guy has a clue. I can say that I got it in writing.
Ya, Den. I believe you, just was curious. And what is that random pic of those guys at the top of that BlazersEdge article.
I honestly don't know about the picture. There are more goodies coming from the deal. For starters, they're giving us tickets to use for GrandpaBlaze's prediction game. Realize we're just getting started working together. I really appreciate the great write up by Ben. It's good to be in the family with him and Casey and they guys in the organization.
I really love the site and Blazer Fanatic gave me the link. Didn't know it existed for years. Sly always made me chuckle in game chats and on Just Casey and I've got to say, you guys have a relaxed, humorous tack on fan sitedom. One thing, these thong and erotic avatars are going to be a problem for paranoid, lovely, 53 year old wife. When I'm reading a thread she thinks I'm on a porn site.....you may not have this to deal with but some of us do. Great job guys! This site works for me. Go Blazers! I can't upload photos easily but for some reason my Meadow Lark Lemon photo from the late 60's works. I never question fate.
I think because of the massive amounts of street cred I have brought here, I should get the first set of tickets!
Send me a PM with as detailed an explanation of your picture issues. Let's see if we can't fix that. Nothing wrong with Meadowlark Lemon though. Old School. Like me!
I can't believe I'm giving computer website advice, but I think you can go into your settings and block avatars.
Thanks Sly but being one of the last two humans on the planet to have never owned a cell phone, It'll take me until 2020 to figure it out!
