5-5 looks about right for that stretch ... give or take a game. I guess we'll have a pretty good picture what this team is all about after 20 games eh mags?

    1. Should win.
    2. Should lose. (Pay attention, Chicago are good now.)
    3. Should lose.
    4. Should win, but never can tell.
    5. Tossup. We always seem to lose in Phoenix.
    6. Tossup again. Lakers are turning it around.
    7. Should lose. Indy are very very good.
    8. I think we'll lose, but probably because I'm a pessimist and I hate OKC so much.
    9. Okay, if we don't win this one we're screwed.
    10. SHOULD win.

I'd be happy with a .500 record over this span.

So if we do anything better than 6-4, will you be more optimistic? :D

1.) Milwaukee on the road - (Win. Enjoy the game KS!)
2.) Chicago at home(50% - Chicago took care of Indiana. I don't think they are great - but I'm not totally confident)
3.) golden state on the road (b2b) (If we win this game, it's a HUGE sign. I expect to lose this one.)
4.) New York at home (lol.)
5.) Phoenix on the road (I think the boys will be pissed flying into PHO and take care of business)
6.) Lakers on the road (They are just bad. Kobe or not, this is a win.)
7.) Indiana at home (b2b) (I dunno. I think we can beat this team. Just a feeling. Another key game, though. And a huge tell tale game.)
8.) OKC at home - (I'm gonna put this up as a win, but it's real close to 50%)
9.) Utah at home - (lol)
10.) Dallas at home (b2b) - (An easy win, they haven't looked good at all.)

I see really only 3 games of concern here.

Chicago and GS B2B, and the Indiana game.

I don't consider the utah dallas game to be a bad b2b. We've seen that they can handle b2b's so i'm not worried.

If we can go 2-1 against Chicago GS and Indana I will consider that this team can fight for HCA.

I think we can go 7-3 on this.

7-3 or better and you can officially put me on the playoffs bandwagon (health permitting).

Agreed. We have discussed this before I think but we have the talent talent to win ANY game if we have multiple players hitting from 3 that night. By "staying hungry" I take that as we need to find those players any given night and just keep going to the hot player until they are not anymore.

Whoohoo! The HCP, you better screen shot this and show the Blazers! They need to be 7-3 or better in the next 10 and they will have a full bandwagon!

6-4 is 60%. 60% for the season is 49 wins.

That's one thing I love about Stotts. He stays with the hot hand. Something Nate never grasped. And that only gives players more incentive to play hard, especially the bench players.

Take a picture, write it down, I don't give a fuck. I've said it many times, I'm willing to believe in things that are real and if I see 7-3 then there's a good chance that the Blazers are "real" ... maybe not title contention real, but a legit playoff team at least and not just a pretender.

People acting like MM is optimistic aren't reading between the lines. If we go 6-4 in this trip there would be no shame in that at all.

CHI, OKC, GSW, & IND are all teams that if we lose to we should not be ashamed that we lost to them. Saying that we should is not homerism at all. It's more negative Nancy stuff...

True overall, but after a 9-2 start, winning 60% of our remaining games would result in 51 or 52 wins.

    No it isn't.

Portland has a better record than all but 1 of those teams, and almost all of the hard games on that schedule are at home. There is no reason to think that if we go 6-4 it is acceptable.

    Record doesn't depict all, however.

GS on a back to back after a tough game against Chicago is going to be extremely tough.

If we go strictly by record, we'd be of the same journalistic integrity as ESPN. There's more to it than just a record, IMO.

Yes! I'm so glad T-Rob is getting some burn. It's really awesome to see him work through his errors to make an outstanding play here and there.

Yep, he's deliberately setting himself up for disappointment. Anything less than 9-1 will be a failure by the team, he'll be disappointed and we'll hear about it.

I agree, ANY win over CHI, OKC, GSW and IND would be a BIG win. Those are 4 of the top teams in the league and all are playing very well right now. CHI got off to the slow start, but they have won 5 in a row and absolutely dominated IND over the weekend.

Given the quality of the competition, and the number of b2bs, I'd be happy with 6-4, and ecstatic with 7-3. Seriously, it's one of our tougher 10-game stretches and if we can win 60% - 70% of those games, it bodes well for the rest of the season. 6-4 would make us 15-6 after 21 games. That's on pace to win 59 games - something this franchise has only done 3 times in 43 years. How could anyone not be happy with that start?

@ BNM - It's a clever way to be a Negative Nancy for him, though. Gotta give him credit. Be OVERLY optimistic, and still say they did bad with the (expected) result.

    Well done. lol.

You people are ridiculous. Being happy with 6-4 is unacceptable for a team with the 3rd best record in the league. Our schedule has been cake so far, but the record is still the record. It is a better record than all teams except Indiana.

Pretty much what I'm saying. 6-4 is good (and expected) 7-3 has got my ears perked!

How is anything I have said being overly optimistic?
