This is the thing... Lma usually has slow starts. He normally gets much better as the season progresses. I think we will see more LaMonster as the season wears on

LA needs someone sitting behind the bench poking him with a stick repeatedly. Just get and keep LA pissed off, and he'd beast all the time.

I feel good man. This team feels good. I'm seriously feeling how incredible everything is coming together.

Dub, I just posted this in the fight video thread.

"It was a little dispute over a cricket swing. Only the Queen arbitrates between a bloke and a matey."

    Am I correct that these are synonyms: American-guy, England-bloke, Australia-mate ?

They are interchangeable - bloke and mate, but Aussies and Brits don't use "guy".

Yes, that's what I said. I think Australians are partial to matey, pronounced mighty.

Are the Warriors at a disadvantage with their long sleeve shirts?

Bloke and mate are both good. Never matey.

Mate has many meanings, from friend to dickhead; it's all about the tone and context.

I made a crack in the game thread about Bogut and Freeland giving each other shit about the cricket.

Australia and England are competing in "The Ashes" cricket series at the moment. The Ashes is the oldest cricket series in the world. It is older than the game of basketball (The Ashes started in 1882, basketball was invented in 1891).

Australia just won the first match of the series on day 4 of the match. During the Trail Blazers/Warriors game actually; maybe they were getting updates on the bench, and Australia's victory is what sparked things .

It's refreshing to see the coach work the refs the way Stotts does.

Dub, how about a list of NBA players you've noticed who speak non-American English. There are 2 from Australia now. Steven Adams from NZ.

You'd think they'd (Commonwealth) all be friends, given the way Batum is chummy with Tony Parker.

Just finished the game...That was a one impressive fourth quarter and from a defensive standpoint if they play with that kind of attitude, will and dominance, they will be a handful for anyone in the league.

Missed a great win to watch a dumpster fire of a football game in freezing weather. Lovely.
