Classic fallacy. Boston announcers being bad is mutually exclusive opinion. You used them as de-facto experts, and support for your opinion. I only said they were not. MR and MB being the best, or the worst, or most informed, or least informed has nothing to do with anything. It was your "evidence", and I drove a dump truck through it on the way to your driveway to return all the poo in your argument.

Again, what does not mentioning someone have to do with your bad argument? I don't know what Plumlee and Howard did to you, but they didn't do anything to me. So, speak for yourself, rather than about "us." There is no "us."

Plumlee is averaging 10/10. His second game vs Portland he got 10/10. He is a good player. But wait, he only had 5/10 versus the terrible penguin (edit: pelican team), he's bad. But a few games later, 8/12 and 5 blocks vs NO, he's really good!

Howard had a season high versus Portland, and Houston won, 29/13. He shot the ball well, and hit more free throws than he has all season and at the highest percentage of the season (blame Portland defense for not getting into those free throw lanes). But was he playing against Lopez all night? No. Lopez was in foul trouble all night. What happened to Houston the night before versus LAC? Houston had 130!!! points put up on them because Howard was in foul trouble.

It's clear the circumstances don't matter to you, as long as you can pretend it proves your point. I could do this all day, I got time. But, in the mean time, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, why not just invest in making a quality argument?

When you call me names, it makes me happy. It means there are winners and losers, and you are the latter.

I'm still not sold on Wes Mathews being a top ten SG in the league. Every so often he will have a game as to where you could make a case for top 5 but then he will also have games where he just disappears of just looks like an average SG.

I'd like to see us win some tough road games against teams like OKC, San Antonio, Houston or the Clippers. I'm glad that we got the Boston and Denver monkeys off our backs, so that was nice to see. But some quality wins against big time opponents in their buildings would elevate my excitement and confidence in this team.

Wes has put up very impressive numbers in 8 of the 9 games. The other game, he didn't play as mNy minutes because Mo had it going and we didn't need Wes.

What Wes does well, he does really well and he's the consumate unselfish player. Wes' dream is to be 1st team defensive player of the year, doesn't even call himself a 3pt shooter but he is. What he's not good at, he'll work on tomorrow morning before we even wake up. The dude is the real deal, our Bruce Bowen with a better offensive game..Wes is all heart, a rare breed in the modern game. He reminds me of Joe Dumars or Nate McMillan as players

That all sounds very nice, but it's unfortunately just not quite true. Wesley is an "OK" defensive player who is pretty good at hitting three point shots. Saying he's a better version of Bruce Bowen does Bruce Bowen an incredible disservice.

The Blazers are .778 right now, but they will not finish the season .788. They're looking like a solid ~.600 team. 49 games. Of course, that is barring injury.

Most of their wins have been the result of very good shooting. Yes, then eeked out a win at home against Phoenix on a bad shooting night, and beat Boston even though they didn't shoot well. They are good enough to beat bad teams without shooting well, but not good enough to be good teams when their shot isn't falling.

The defensive stats are still piss poor.

How many teams beat good teams when they shoot bad? Not many. As long as you beat the bad teams and win half the games agaisnt the good teams you'll get HCA.

I'm convinced. If we stay healthy we'll be a top 3 seed.

Bruce Bowen was one of the dirtiest players in the league. I don't' consider Wes to be dirty.

Doubting what, that the Blazers are a "good" team? I think it's starting to look that way, but we won't really know until we see how they respond to the difficult part of their schedule.

I won't take anything away from their start because even though it's been a "mostly" cream-puff schedule, they've played well on the road and showed a lot of poise and overcome some in-game adversity to pluck a few wins they could have easily lost in prior years, but I still need to see how they fare over these next 7 games or so.

Mainly, I want to see if they're going to keep tempting fate by falling behind by double digits early and then trying to make a comeback to seal a win. That strategy is not sustainable and isn't the calling card of a dominant team.

I didn't say he wasn't dirty, I'm just saying he was an amazing defensive player in his prime and I don't see Wesley being on that level (yet).

    Yes believe they are good!

Last season Miami had 6 games when they were down by double digits and came back to win during their crazy win streak. Actually this "testing fate" is just exactly ways to make teams stronger, believe harder! The "never say die" attitude is what makes a good team separate from bad teams.

But my contention is that his dirty play made him a superior defender. Maybe if Wes started doing all the dirty shit that Bowen did, he'd be a better defender?
