Yeah, I thought we played an awful game. I don't know whether that says that even when we're bad we're good, or that we got lucky last night, or that OKC isn't as good as people think they are. Either way I'm extremely pleased with the win even if I'm not pleased with how we played.
It's interesting. If the Blazers were 0-3 against the Spurs, Pacers and Thunder all on the road, it would say a lot about the team not being able to win on the road against those teams. They lose all 3 of these games at home and it says a lot about the Blazers chances/legitimacy. They win all 3? Well, they're home games, they're supposed to.
Yes, the Thunder played the night before. Against a shit team, playing without their best player (Cousins). The Thunder sleepwalked through that game and almost lost because they weren't putting together much effort. The back-to-back is a bullshit excuse. Blazers are 10-0 in back-to-backs this year.
I love the dissing. We are using it as fuel to prove doubters wrong. This team is winning because they are "playing the right way", as Larry Brown used to say. Like his Piston team that won it all, we may not have an all star caliber roster. Just a bunch of good players buying in and playing unselfishly. Defined roles, no overwhelming egos, great coaching, and the motivation of people telling them they won't succeed. Almost every NBA championship team has a for sure HOF player, a premier go to guy. Every once and a while a team comes along and the sum > individual parts. If they continue to play this way, this team can go a lot further than most people think.
I really do not think we get enough credit for playing 3 games in 4 nights. That one day is not enough rest.
For sure. 3 games, 4 nights, and 2 of the league's 3 best teams. And, while I will not make the Lakers to be something better than they are, they were the first of the 3 games we played, and they're still a .500 team with a few wins over quality playoff-caliber teams. OKC played 3 games in 4 nights, too, though (their opponents were MN, Sac, and us, of course).
Still, that's pretty laughable. Minnesota is 9-10 and Sac is 4-12. We had to play 9-9 Lakers, 16-2 Pacers, and 13-4 Thunder.
I don't really give a shit now on the national media. The digs are pretty laughable now. I think we can just let our play and record speak for themselves. There have been only 2 teams that beat us so far this season. How many other teams can say that at this point?
From what I understand (without a link to follow) it's not the national media, it's people saying stuff in the comments section.
I'm just talking about everything. I just decided to use this thread to explain it. Let our record and play do the talking. The haters are gonna hate and I'm sure the bandwagon will fill in.
Um, I thought I already explained that I don't really care, but if you don't think people aren't hating on us, then I don't know what to tell you. People will hate on teams in front of them. Fans hate that their team isn't better than us. Minny probably hates us. Doesn't really matter cause I love this team. I'm sure OKC hates us after last night.
Ur in dangerous territory mediocre man.... Few more negative posts and the witch hunt is on. The S in S2 stands for Salem
Sorry Mixum, but MM has earned the right to talk the way he does. You, on the other hand, are a troll. But I like you! So far this season, you have been nothing but good luck with all your reverse jinxes. Can you please make a "How will we not win the next 10 games" thread. We need more luck baby!
