Just got hockey wood. He'll suck defensively at first as he has struggled at first on every level. However, he will figure it out. I love it. Oh my how I love it so.

Makes perfect sense to do this right now. Team is struggling big time. Looking like they are not going anywhere at the moment. So why not call him up and let him get his feet wet in the NHL. Worst case he struggles some, and he goes back down, but he gets some very much needed NHL experience for when he is back later this season, or for good starting next season. I would call up Kristo also and see what he can do. Or we could play Pyatt, Moore, Boyle, Dorsett, and Asham upfront instead I guess.
I think theyre going to have trouble dealing off Pyatt and D.Moore, even for low picks. People just wont want that kind of garbage on a contending team.
Finally the Rangers are coming to their senses, minor league hockey does not teach the speed of the NHL. Anyone who has attended an AHL game will immediately notice how much slower the pace of the game is. The NHL's faster pace can lead a young player getting caught watching but really it's all about avoiding having your head taken off. Asham should still be the guy doing the fighting and I agree that they should bring Kristo & Miller up, there's potential with these two instead of the ineptitude of D. Moore & Pyatt.
Right Dis, it just would be nice to get anything back for them. A hickory farms gift basket, anything.
Who cares really. Their contracts are up AND it isn't like they make a ton of money anyway. On the plus side, with guys like Boyle, Pyatt, and Moore gone you will be happier. Of all the issues we have you love to focus on the 4 mill or so tied up in these useless guys.... We have bigger issues than these guys, who we could bury in the minors if we really wanted to anyway like Powe and Asham (prior to last game).

Its not the combined salary Chuck its just such a waste to have to simply wait out the end of dumb signings. Sure the team has goal scoring issues, but we cant just brush off these guys are part of it as a really poor 4th line. I havent even gotten on Boyle this year because theres really no point anymore. It would be nice to at least get a draft pick or prospect for one of them..maybe Pouliot. Eventually Hartford will be all NHL players who've been buried for being so inept. They should have the best AHL team by a mile.
Remember what I always say. 95% of all GM's are morons. Right now we have a moron GM. However, with so many other moron GM's, Sather might get picks for some of those tools. My guess with the 2015 draft being so strong, Sather would try to get a 5th rounder in 2015 for guys like D. Moore and Pyatt. Those guys might be useful on a 4th line with a team that can actually score freakin goals.
If we wanted them gone badly enough they would be in the minors, released, or scratched. That simple really. Just because they are signed to about 4 mill combined doesn't mean we have to play them, or keep them up, or keep them as Rangers. We choose to do that. Is what it is. I think we should get rid of at least Pyatt, and maybe Moore also, and send them down or cut them. We don't do it though. Not sure why, but I can't worry about those useless little parts, who are gone this summer anyway. We have bigger issues like Hags scoring once in 16 games. Or Brass scoring twice in 17 games. Or our D being terrible now. I worry more about that stuff than the useless little 4th line junk who we could bench, send down, or release if we really wanted to.
I think we will get a pick for Boyle at least, assuming we want to deal him. Pyatt and Moore we'll see, but either way they will ALL thankfully be gone finally this summer. And we can build the bottom 5 or so forwards correctly this time I hope. And add another proven legit goal scorer for the top 6, along with another C after we buyout Richards.
I think Boyle should stay until the end of the year, he has been good in the playoffs if we happen to make it. Moore and Pyatt should be sent down so some kids can get time. Agreed thought that this is the least of our problems....
As long as we're looking to the future hags should be included in any trade for offense or size or draft pick. He'll have some use on a team that needs speed that can protect him but for us another guy who can't shoot, can't score and has no size to do anything. Don't see him being a part of our future when we're a contender. Brassard I'd like to see a little longer as he has some ability but if he's included in a deal for offense or size I don't have a problem with it. Can't wait to see the undertaker challenge lucic and watch that pussy hightail it for the bruin bench.
