Difference is were winning games, they're losing games.

It's what I'm saying. They are much worse when they are losing games than we are when we're losing games. For the most part, it's not a fire sale of our top players like it is there. lol.

If we were under .500, the losses would be more exciting for the forum. Two years ago before Nate got fired was particularly intense. :ghoti:

A near 50/20 game is insane.

    Love is the motherfufusjsmruej truth.

    Kevin Love is a monster.

But I'm starting to think he is a stat-monger ala some other players we've seen around these parts...

They're all defensive boards. He did the same thing against us. 16 defensive rebounds, only 3 offensive boards. He doesn't create second chance points for his team.

He also attempted 15 free throws. I'm sorry, but the NBA is just handing him free points. Dame has to bust his ass to get 8 FTA in a game.

Pekovic was the better player in this game. 34 points off 16-28, 14 boards, but 8 of them were offensive rebounds. Only 3 FTA. He didn't have a bunch of free points handed to him.

What would you rather have 50-20 from your star or a win?

Wow, total melt down. Not sure what the big deal is. They should be used to losing by now. They've been so good at it for so long.

However, I did love this exchange:

    J Rocka wrote:
"This team needs a PG that can be relied upon late. Giving the ball to Barea & Martin with the game is on the line is throwing away the game."

We should have drafted Ty Lawson or Trey Burke . . .

I've been saying that about Rubio forever, but this is the first time I've seen Twolves fans turn on him. Until very recently they have been adamant that he's better than Lillard. But, in today's NBA, when the guy with the ball in his hands late in the game can't hit a shot to save his life, you're going to have trouble winning close games. They are now 0-7 in games decided by 4 points or less. Rubio can't make a shot, and is afraid to even take a shot late in a close game. Opposing teams know that and totally back off him, deny entry passes and double off him. It's like the Wolves are playing 4-on-5 whenever the game is on the line.

But hey, what about all those flashy passes he makes in the first 3 quarters. Never mind that in addition to ZERO points for the entire game, he had a total of 1 assist in the 4th quarter and ZERO in OT. It's pretty easy to shut down a guy who can't hit a basket in a Pier 1 store and is scared shitless to even attempt a shot late in a close game.

And, the Twolves bench this year may be even worse than our bench was last year. Outside of Love, Pek and Martin, the rest of their team was 7-33. That's .212 FG%. Barea is their best bench player and he's shooting .382 FG% and .321 3FG%. When 2 of your starters and your entire bench can't shoot, it doesn't really matter how good your other three starters are. Love putting up huge numbers is the classic case of stat inflation by the best player on a crappy team. He puts up big numbers, but doesn't really help his team win. He'd be a great Robin, but that team needs a Batman.

That team won't go anywhere until they have an actual point guard, but I'm not sold on Love either.

Love is like Wilkens. Can give you a ton of empty stats that has everyone gushing over him, but the team just fails in their lead. But at least Wilkens made the playoffs a few times!

Yeah, too bad his career post season averages are 0/0 and likely to remain so until he jumps ship to another team.

@ESPNStatsInfo: Kevin Love: 1st with at least 45 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists in game since Hakeem Olajuwon (46/19/8) for 1996 Rockets vs Timberwolves

@nbastats: Love joins Hakeem, Karl Malone & Alvan Adams as only players since NBA-ABA merger in '76 to record 45+p, 65%+FG%, 15+rbs, 5+ast (via ELIAS)

@AlexKennedyNBA: Kevin Love and Nik Pekovic combined for 79 points and 33 rebounds, but the Timberwolves lost to the Clippers.

The sweet satisfaction of watching Love skip town in a year will be marred by him signing with the Lakers.

Dude, I just said that like 8 posts ago. Try to keep up. You've definitely lost a step. Your whiteness is starting to show. BTW, what's with all the love for Love? I thought you hated American born white big men almost as much as Mediocre Man. Or do you just have a broner for him because you think he's going to force his way to your beloved Lakers?
