ESPN is dropping the ball on this "BREAKING NEWS." The real story is "ESPN out of excuses for why we can't call Portland #1".
You guys are starting to remind me of my coworkers who work harder at getting out of work than they would if they just did the job. You are desperately trying to say the #1 team isn't legit you will grasp at any little straw, and everytime we win its something else. Just think, after we win the championship your only memories of the run will be doubt and discontent. The coddle, can't lose generation can't even celebrate success now out of the fear of losing. Pathetic
I posted this in another thread. Fewer games means a better product. Better product + more exclusive = more sell outs. Expand the play-offs. Get rid of divisions, top 20 teams play. 10 lottery teams.
I do not. Not on a back-to-back. Portland is already handy capped being the only team to play THREE stretches of 4 games in 5 nights.
That's right. If the Blazers don't beat those teams on the road, the talking media heads will say the Blazers aren't legit. And yet, thosed teams already showed they couldn't beat the Blazers on the road. Does that mean they aren't legit? Of course not. It's only the Blazers who can never be legit.
BF there are many espn analysts riding our jock. Just watch Legler's new video about the Blazers. We do need more depth and more experience... I understand their apprehension. The Thunder deserve more hype for now. Let's just that defensive ranking up!!!
you think I'm not celebrating success or optimistic about a championship just because I want to see how we do on the road against a top 4 team? what the hell lol. so far we haven't played any games that are supposed to be unwinnable based on the way NBA home/away grudge matches between Elite teams go. the thunder game would have been the first. It might still be.
So, as of yesterday, after Portland beat LAC, now he's riding the Blazer jock strap? Now, 29 games in he's "finally getting to watch Portland play" (his actual words last night). It's his job to watch Portland play and he's just now getting around to it? Like I said, they've run out of excuses. Being popular is what it is. That I mention all this stuff is a factor of it being ironic and hilarious to me, not that I give a shit.
I'm glad CJ is cleared to practice, we have a great option to come in and pickup minutes if any one of our PG, SG or SF rotational players is injured. LaMarcus or Lopez getting hurt would be worst case scenario, any other player and I think we could still be a very good team for ~5-15 games. The Thunder are in a ton of trouble, I'd expect them to hover around .500 until Westbrook gets back.
Flip it anyway you want. Move the goal posts all you'd like. There are 2 types of real Blazer fans here: those that think Portland is the best team in the NBA based on their record, and those that are waiting for them to fail. Which are you?
