Yeah we've been through this conversation many times here in the ot section. MM isn't making fun of stereotypes, he's jamming racist jokes.

He clearly said that in response to what I said. He wasn't jamming anything at all. I was listening to Bill Withers and BB King when I read that and it made me laugh. I hate rap but love Public Enemy. I love the NBA and the Oldsmobile Cutlass, but I hate what brothers do to them. What you read into what he writes on a message board is entirely different than what I read. Maybe he is a card carrying Klan member but I doubt it.

It was the best lesson I learned by getting picked on for being poor when I was a kid.......the things people say only have power over me if I give it to them. I hope someday people will just roll their eyes at racist stuff and move on.

 

Yeah I do roll my eyes, but I come from a generation that was taught that when you see bullshit, you call it out. And honestly? The reaction against me calling him out is always stronger than against him and his racist "humor." I case you don't know, this goes way beyond this thread.

 

And you don't have to list all the "black" things you like. I don't think anyone here is actually racist

 

Basically Chappelle in white face is making fun of stereotypes and anyone in black face is a racist that needs to apologize to the NAACP

 

Dave saw this too and was a major reason for his meltdown.

 

I like listing all the black things I like cuz it makes me cool. Plus, I know like everyone does that if I like black stuff I can use it as a defense.

 

My Family Guy analogy is this. The episode where Peter had a stroke came out not long after my 50 year old aunt had a major stroke. I couldn't watch it. I just didn't get upset and want to boycott.
