Re: Lillard: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today." It was actually Matthews who said that by the way, not Lillard
Re: Lillard: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today." Oh. Can a mod fix that?
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Well heck I do that all the time!
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Matthews has really improved his postup game; it makes him a lot more valuable to the team, because not only is he making a high % but he is drawing double teams, which he can pass out of.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Matthews has improved everything. Last year he could barely dribble, couldn't post, couldn't finish at the rim. This year he reminds me of Michael Jordan minus the hops. Imo he should be a strong case for most improved player, as could Freeland.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Thinking back, Wes seemed out of sorts in preseason (yes, it was only preseason) and a lot of posters, myself included, were concerned. Once he got rolling, he's just been an animal. His game just gets better and better. One complaint in past seasons was that his handle was not good. But in our offense, it doesn't matter. His three is so money, and now his post up game, and he's such a warrior. Signing Wes away from Utah was a major coup, and I think, an under apprecitated one. Who can we thank for that?
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Naps are gooood.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. LOVE seeing Wes post up! We'll need that in the POs! And his dribbling has really improved this year. Now if only Lillard, Nic and LMA could improve their dribbling skills the way Wes has.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Whatchu talkin bout Willis? Lillard has a great handle.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Great? I disagree. He has average handles for a starting PG. He dribbles laterally - or even away from the hoop - more than he dribbles towards the hoop. Half the time he tries to split a double he ends up losing the ball. If he does happen to get past his defender he picks up his dribble and tries to force a shot over a 7' defender, rather than keeping his dribble alive and probing for better scoring/passing opportunities. Lillard is great at shooting, and merely good at everything else...well, not everything.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Matthews actually reminds me most of Bonzi with range and without the attitude.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. Bonzi could back anyone down and score a bucket with ease. I remember him doing that time and time again during the WCF against the Lakers in 2000. He's what kept us in it. The Lakers knew what was coming and still couldn't stop it. I love Wes, but he doesn't have that ability. That being said, Wes has a much better personality, a will to get better and the drive to win. Bonzi was lazy. I just don't see the comparison (not to rain on your parade).
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. "Michael Born, Portland's director of NBA scouting, and Chad Buchanan, director of college scouting, took over Pritchard's duties while the search for the GM was on. The offer for Matthews was made under their watch." I'm guessing that he had already been targeted when Pritchard was still GM.
Re: Matthews: "I'm not gonna lie to you. I felt on when I woke up from my nap today. nice post I as well would rather have We$ shooting the three and being a very positive influence
