Sorry, I just need to vent... This year sucks so far... ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! hell, this week sucks especially... Monday, 2 things... 1, our furnace wouldn't stay lit... so we had to call someone out, had a couple of clogged filters and a slightly gunked up nozzle... I guess it was good that happened on Monday before the temps dropped like they did... and 2, my wife was as sick as a dog when she got home from her prenatal Dr appointment... I felt horrible for her... Tuesday I had another 2 issues... 1, the transmission in my car (a manual) was partially frozen/locked up... took over 15 minutes with the car running before I could get it into reverse to back up... and then later that day, my wife went to go do a load of laundry and found the pipes were frozen in the basement... fortunately it was just the pipes to the washing machine, and she was quickly able to set up a space heater we had on hand for emergencies... pipes were able to be thawed, and she even got a couple of loads of laundry in, but still wasn't feeling all that hot... Today, I hit a really slick sheet of black ice right after I crested a hill on a curve on a back road on my way to work... lost control, fish tailed for a bit before hitting my right rear quarter panel into a stop sign (taking it out)... I'll need body work done on the car, but a bigger issue is that I slid across grass, snow/ice, and gravel before coming to a stop and then to drive back over it to get out of the field... my transmission (yes, same one that had an issue yesterday) feels like there might be something in it near 1st and 2nd gear... as I release the clutch, there is an unusual noise and feeling to it... I called the place I bought the vehicle, but they are so backed up, they can't see me until Monday morning at the earliest... so I made an appointment at another dealership 40 miles away this afternoon to have them at least look at it... and to pour salt in my wounds, the cop told me that he might issue me a citation for going to fast for the conditions even though I was going below the speed limit... WTF!!! at least I wasn't the car behind me that hit the same patch of black ice about 30 seconds after me, but he hit an embankment hard and snapped his axle... 2015 can't get here soon enough for me...
...lol...after awhile you'll simply be happy that tomorrow will come at all...you'll see. ...a hundred years from now, none of that other shit will matter.
Hopefully the worst is behind you, hang tough, just a slump, pretty soon you will be hitting dingers.
I hope so... well, I'm going to leave work about 15 minutes early (8 minutes from now) so I can drive that long as 40 mile drive to the other dealership to have them look at it... hopefully I make it... if not, I'll be sure to give an update tonight...
ok... well, they just did a preliminary check which showed that it needed to be looked at much more thoroughly tomorrow... but I know I at least broke the bottom engine mount (if not more than one of the mounts) as he could see that one broken and could actually move the engine with just his hands while it sat in my car... plus the tires are COMPLETELY bald now, so I need them replaced, the alignment is off, but that would be adjusted anyway with the new tires plus the body damage... so I went ahead and filed a claim with the insurance company as it would definitely now be more than the deductible... I just hope it isn't a total... that would SUCK
Today I put a new shirt & a button falls off, I picked up my new suitcase & the handle falls off, after that, I was afraid to go to the bathroom.
Or I could look at it this way, we're 9 days in & I haven't gotten laid yet. Damn that really sucks..............I wish.
same here Rick...its been probably since thanksgiving..i cant even remember...and to make matters worse...i didnt get any even on my 40th birthday
ok... heard back from the insurance this afternoon... they were going to try to get someone to look at the car soon.... about an hour or so later, I heard from the dealership who spoke with the insurance company who told them that they couldn't touch the car until an insurance adjuster came to look at it ON MONDAY AFTERNOON... and then a decision likely won't be made to go ahead or whatever until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest which means the work if it isn't a total can't start until Wednesday... and with my luck this week... ugh... and no rental coverage, so... I work an hour away from home not near mass transit, so my wife who's been sick needs to take me to and from work before/after taking our kids to school...
And now it looks like I might be sleeping at work tonight because the weather has my wife so anxious and nervous, she's afraid to get me... SMH
