Wait at this point last year we were a 20-win team?! We're only 7 games ahead of last year! :MARIS61:
Yes, after beating Miami, we were 20-15 and riding high. Then we completely fell apart and then tanked.
That's an incredible meltdown last season, which was mainly due to injuries. Also, hickson and the bench just couldn't hang; which caused our starters to log record minutes.
Umm... no, not even close. We had 3 players in the top 20 in MPG. Lillard was 3rd with 38.6, Batum was 5th with 38.5 and Aldridge was 9th with 37.7. Matthews averaged 34.8 MPG and Hickson was at 29.0 MPG. Wilt holds the single season record of 48.52 MPG. He played every minute, including overtime, of every game that season. Wilt averaged over 46 MPG seven times and averaged 45.8 MPG for his 14-year career. 40 MPG wouldn't even get you in the top 250 all time and we didn't have anyone close to averaging 40 MPG last season. BNM
It may not have been record breaking but I think it is fair to say that at least 3 (if not 4) of our starters played too many minutes.
That's not a record. Leading the league does not necessarily mean "record." Record means you have done something more than anyone ever, in the history of the league.
So, Steph Currys record of most made threes in a season doesn't matter because Ray Allen has the record for most made threes in the history of the league?
Those are two different records. One is for most made in a single season, the other is for the most made ever.... Dame led the league last year in minutes played, but he did not average the most minutes per game in a single season, which BNM pointed out is currently held by Wilt.
