Or does the CBA override the new state law?

If not I can see the Nuggets become very attractive to free agents.

If it's legal in the state or if they have a medical marijuana card players should be allowed to smoke out.

Also jerseys should be made out of hemp.

Not really. There's a code of conduct in the league. If they don't like it, they can play in another league.

...the employer sets the rules for the employee. Always check with your employer before "smoking out".

It's not illegal to smoke from a hookah, because it can be tobacco. Anyone that uses a hookah to smoke pot, is just wasting pot.

In Washington, some employers still ban smoking marijuana by their employees.

And the NBA did nothing about it.

It's not illegal to untie someone's shoes but you can get fined by the NBA for it. My guess is that they take an even dimmer view of pot. JailNuggets?

Now I can see if they are smoking pot in public or at games, that should be penalized.

But adults should be able to do any legal activity in their off time. Why don't they ban alcohol? That harms far more people.

No offense, but you're apparently not very familiar with sports contracts. I don't think players are even allowed to ski or go horseback riding in the offseason.

It's also well understood that players do not have civil liberties (but they have $ instead). They can legally be fined tens of thousands of dollars for saying something as simple as "the refs sucked."

This is not unprecedented in our society. Strippers for example suffer sexual harassment as part of their job description.

Its still federally illegal, until that changes I believe the NBA or any other employer in WA or CO can still drug test and deny employment to anyone using.

How do you know? If some idiot went around downtown everyday at lunch untying everyone's shoes, I'll bet he gets arrested for Criminal Mischief.
