If you hit the QB in the head, it's a personal foul. Part of me thinks Brooks did it on purpose in terms of jumping the snap count to rattle Newton (not kick him in the head, though), and if so, it was a great play by him!
If that's a "kick", I'd argue you probably get your ass kicked everyday. I dunno what Brooks was doing, as the Niners were allegedly trying some new sort of layout today. But that was no kick. The video clearly shows a flop. And the analysts also sounded like yet agreed. BTW, how come nobody is along about the sack on Scam in the 4th that was called a personal foul? Scam turned into the defender (not knowing Skuta was there), and his helmet barely touches Sluta's and a flag is thrown. The only people complaining about the officiating today are Panthers and, ironically, Seahawks fans (I'm curious if you have an NFL team, even. I'd believe it's nobody or the Hawks).
