If it's a SF we need should the Blazers take a chance on Stephen Jackson?

The Blazers have too much dead weight. Why keep 15 guys on the roster? With a 9 man rotation, you need about 3 third stringers. Those contracts should be consolidated into a better one.

Barton, Claver, Leonard and Wright = 7.5 million dollars

Seems to me like everyone just wants stars or nothing on the Blazers.

I could be totally wrong on this, but I am sure there is a "minimum" on a bench of dressed players. Also, a minmum on just players in general (10-12, something like that). But again, I could totally be wrong.

What about Ridnour or Hinrich as a backup PG? Maynor has a player option, and I liked him as a backup last year.

I think Meyers may be gone. Robinson seems at least worth keeping. If Leonard becomes a solid NBA center, it won't be when he's backing up Ropez/Freeland/Robinson. I hope I'm wrong, but Meyers seems to be regressing at this point.

I agree. Leonard showed some shooting skills on offense last season.

This season he looks lost on defense most times.

i really like channing frye. we should look at darren collison, shane battier, and ed davis. if we let mo go in FA, we should seriously be looking at Frye and Collison. we should trade freeland and wright for kosta koufos. this would create cap for shane battier.
    lillard/darren/watson
    welsey/cj/barton
    batum/shane/claver
    aldridge/frye/t-rob
    lopez/koufos/leonard

this team would have great depth and playoff experiences

The rookie minimum salary (not to be confused with a 1st round draft pick rookie) for the 2014-15 season is $507,336. That amount is added to the team's salary for every player a team has under 12.

8 is the minimum a team must suit for a game

12 is the minimum number of roster spots a team is required to pay for

Lance Stephenson is likely an All Star this year.

We had 13 suited up for the Dallas game. Were we allowed to play all 13? When did that rule change? I thought the limit was 12.

My thoughts exactly the only way you want Steve Blake on your team is if you are a racist and just want a team full of white guys cause otherwise the dude is a scrub.

You're crazy....Blake would be perfect for our second squad. A calming influence out on the court with our bench to run the offense correctly.

This changed a number of years ago, I believe it was when they went to an inactive list instead of an injured list. You only need two players inactive and it can be changed game to game.
