that's not really a correct statement meese, they blamed JJ for taking his own teammates rebounds but even so, has nothing to do with the topic of discussion here which is Nic Batum and this season, not last season. I blamed Felton for being fat and poor at dribbling a basketball once upon a time but I've moved on.

I just thought it was relevant people complain about a lot of things they should not, such as Batum getting assists or JJ getting rebounds.

I do! They're french assists so they're measured using the metric system.

The Blazers' REB% last season was worse with Hickson on the court versus him off the court.

What should the Spurs do with Kawhi Leonard? The guy has no heart. A non-displaced fracture and he refuses to play the 2nd half while Durant scores 24 of his 38 points. Who can the Spurs get in a trade for him?

16.3 PPG 6.7 RPG 5.6 AGP 0.69 BPG .98 SPG oh wait, those are Batum's stats... Kawhi has 17.7 PPG 6.2 RPG 1.8 APG 1.68 SPG .48 BPG

What a bum. Quits on his team because of an owie no his hand, inconsistent, can't beat the Blazers or OKC or anyone but the bottom feeders of the NBA. I need to make a mental note to re-post this every other week.

Trade Batum already. Oh, oops, Freudian slip.

And Indiana. Time to rebuild. Looking worse than Portland's 1st game of the season, getting blown out by Phoenix. PHOENIX!!! Trade David West. What a bum. Got an owie on his hand, 3 rebounds, 1-3 from the free throw line... in 22 min?!?! No heart. Who can Indiana get for West? They could easily get Aldridge for him, but they need draft picks.

Wait, what were we talking about here?

Thanks BF and all you guys, the Spurs one made me laugh and once again, squirt half a shot of single malt out my left nostril! The laughter was priceless, the scotch I can replace!

Parsons plays one great comeback game and you put him in here? That's a stretch, McHale just said he had lacked consistency.

I have had Parsons ahead of Batum since last year. While he is not as good of a passer as Batum he is a much more efficient scorer and as good of rebounder, and defensively they are fairly close.

Defensively, Parsons is a sieve, it's not even close. Parsons also disappears for several games at a time. He doesn't belong in the great SF conversation. He's middle of the road. Rudy Gay is also a bit of a chucker, never saw a shot he wouldn't take kinda guy or he'd be the franchise player in Toronto right now wouldn't he(or why did they trade him to Sac)? Melo doesn't defend or share the ball with anyone. He's a shooter and pretty much well....a shooter that's losing more games than winning. Batum is as close to Pippen as anyone on your list.

Their USG/PER ratios are basically the same. Both are very efficient players. What's your point?

Parsons and Batum are very similar on defense, too often they loose focus when playing away from the ball handler. Parsons does a good job when guarding the ball handler, which is why he has held Durant to 38% shooting while guarding him in his career and held Kobe to 36%. Furthermore, Parsons defense issues can be attributed to the Rockets system, which emphasizes gambling and forcing turnovers overs. If either of these guys played in the Bulls system you would see that they are quite similar defensively.

Parsons also has a Def Rat of 103.7 to Batum's 104.5 PER NBA.COM and he has a higher WS both OFF and DEF PER basketball reference. So statistically speaking Parsons is not only the better shooter but the better defender.

I thought melo was considered a pf.

The other 2 might be on par with batum but not better.

Since Rudy Gay went to Sacramento he is scoring with much greater efficiency. Obviously it's a small sample size but in 21 games he is averaging 20 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3 apg, 1.1 spg and 0.8 bpg on .605 TS%

My SF would look something like
    LeBron
    Durant
    George
    Melo
    Gay
    Leonard
    Iggy
    Batum
    Parsons
