    LMA deserves to be in the conversation, but it's like being the 4th guy invited to the Heisman.

    We're crowing (rightfully so) over him putting up a career-high 44 against a non-playoff team, while KD is averaging 38 a game this month in games against SAS, POR, etc without RW. He's averaging 31 a game on fewer shots than LMA, for a team with worse talent and a better record.

    Star players put up gaudy numbers on poor teams on national tv. The national tv audience doesn't care who it's against. If they did care about the actual player, Griffin would not be as popular.

    Durant is the obvious MVP. I put LMA above George, though, and right behind James.

    That part where you remind us how much less awesome LMA is than we feel right now. You're doing a single-player version of Mixum's classic downer posts about how our victories are meaningless and we have so many problems just under teh surface.

    By the way, I PM'd an admin and found out you can't be ignored even of you go orange. So quit pissing in our wheaties! We have no way of not listening to your one note song.

    I'm not even sure why BrianfromWA is a moderator at this point. Almost every post he has relates to other posters, or is directed at how crappy LMA is, yet we underlings can't see it. An honorable man would resign his moderator position, but we all know that doesn't happen here. Or, it does, and then the mods who give up their status end up begging to get it back.

    As I've posted multiple times today, PapaG, you're welcome to PM someone in charge and have me removed. Hell, I think you can ask for me to be banned. But I think we both know how that will go.

    BC, I've left the "Church of LMA" thread alone for the very reason you're talking about. You can praise to the skies, and talk about how he's the most valuable player in the league to your heart's content without my interference of facts from other players. But in a thread about other MVP candidates, and how a commentator talked about LMA's chances thereof, I posted my opinion, backed up by facts. You (or anyone else) is welcome to post yours as well, and (as we've seen multiple times recently) you don't need facts to do so.

    As for "one note" tune: You don't say a word when I praise LMA, you don't say anything when I point out that what I recommended for the team (since at least May) is actually working to make him a much more efficient and higher scorer very recently, getting him more foul shots and more offensive rebounds, and you don't say anything when I talk about Lillard's shooting or Mo's running of the offense or Wesley's 3pt%. Why is it that this particular topic (and the insistence that everyone has to share your inflated opinion on it) so close to your heart?

    Sounds like someone is having some pronoun issues. It's "I'm" not "We're". And, it's "eating crow" not "crowing."

    ● Leads the Blazers in Points and Rebounds (32-11 record)

    ● Career high 44 points, to go with 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks... and scored the final 15 points of the game for Portland tonight

    ● 5th in Rebounds per game in the NBA

    ● 5th in Points per game in the NBA

    ● Only 3 times this season has a player gone for 30+ points and 20+ rebounds. LA has done it 2 of those 3 times.

    ● Since Dec 1st, LA is averaging: 26.2 PPG (.491 FG% .839 FT%) 12.8 RPG 3.2 APG 1 BPG and only 1.3 turnovers per game



    The argument has always been made that Kevin Love is the best PF because of his stats. In fact, since Dec 1st, Love is only better in one of those categories, 0.8 more APG. LaMarcus is putting up stats AND winning ball games.

    If you didn't hear me at the game, I'll repeat what I chanted there: MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP...

    I don't care about you being removed. I find your anti-LMA obsession to be weird and a bit OCD. LMA is clearly one of the best 3 players in the NBA right now, regardless of where he gets his points. I have him 3rd in the MVP spot, behind Durant and James.

    When is the next time you'll post that LMA shoots jump shots? Nobody here is aware of that stat, Brian.

    I watched first hand tonight a team rally around and then ride a player to victory. My gf and I are both hoarse from yelling MVP! MVP! MVP! What did he have, 15 straight pts to win the game? He might not be the MVP but that was truly an MVP performance.
