I just think they need to stop calling so many fouls, period. The NBA is so fucking soft right now. It's a physical sport. Allow some contact for fucks sake. I love that they're allowing guys like Freeland and Rolo to go straight up. Our bigs actually defend very intelligently. Neither Rolo or Freeland get into foul trouble very often.

want to stop flopping, it ain't gonna happen folks but if you made it like a goal tend or 2pts and the ball, (also the intentional foul may benefit from this) then they'll pay attention

Here is an idea just deal with it, flopping is part of the game embrace that and then figure out how to use it to your advantage. You do it enough and it becomes second nature, Lebron and Harden both do this exceedingly well on the offensive side of the ball. Defensive flopping is typically far less effective.

The stadium announcers/sound effects guy should play a splash sound effect every time to signify the dive.

Also, when a "superstar" gets a "superstar call", they should play:

they just need to actually call them...

    flop =
    personal foul
    +
technical foul for being a bitch
    +
    fine
    +
max of 2 per season, on 3rd auto 2-3 game suspension.
    +
    guillotine
    +
    firing squad
    +
guaranteed 30sec spot on ESPN "flopping bitches" segment

    and other things.

it's part of the reason i can't stand football, princesses diving all over the place, fake injuries etc it's just completely pathetic and brings the spirit of sport into a shitty light

Think from the flopper's point of view. He has to fall down hard onto a wood floor. He can do nothing to break his fall. Then he has to act tough, like it didn't hurt. It's humiliating to get knocked over like a leaf or a sissy.

When a player forces another to flop, he hurts the flopper's bones and his feelings. It's the referee's job to penalize the bastard.

A flop is the official's fault EVERY time. The officials need to be held accountable. It is NOT the players fault EVER. It is and always will be the referee's fault.
NBA refs are lazy and I really am tired of going into the flopping issue over and over again when there is a simple fix. HOLD THE REFEREES ACCOUNTABLE.

    Ask yourselves this:

How come there isn't a flopping problem at the college and HS levels?

You cannot have any kind of in-game penalty for flopping unless you have a challenge/review system in the NFL has, where a coach has a couple challenges a game.

You lost me. If anything, that would guarantee that flops are never called.

That's what we want, for flops to not get called.

Don't like this as refs call flops because the player fools them. It has to be on the players and their team as a whole.

To go further, flopping is cheating. Teams pick up 4-8 points a game doing so and it seems to be there needs to be stiff enough penalties to end it.

That said, when I player is hit and they 'emphasize' it is fine. It's the phantom flops that are irritating.

This. Basketball is a contact sport, or it's supposed to be. They've really destroyed the game in many aspects.

Agreed. Herein lies the root issue, the NBRA! The National Basketball Referees Union.

NO RULE WILL EVER WORK WHEN THE REFS HAVE PERSONAL BIAS AND THE LEAGUE HAS FINANCIAL REASONS FOR LARGE MARKETS TO WIN.
