Next we will have a thread on how dumb it was to not sign Elliott Williams.

I just don't see him getting any minutes. Right now I'd take TRob over Greg, and Freeland has been extremely stable for us. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, he plays good defense, and he rebounds the ball. Greg can't stay on the floor right now for Miami. So in that case, Greg is sitting on the bench and probably still drinking. He needed to get out of Portland.

Plus, this quote leads me to believe that he didn't want to just sit on a bench while he was getting healthy.

Oden is a 7 footer with skills. You HAVE to keep him IMO.

No, we don't. And thankfully, we didn't. He needed a change of scenery. Would you like to be stuck in a house you were not happy in?

I realize that there are going to be people who cling to him until he finally retires, but you guys seriously need to let it go.

    A) He has only played in five games. Way too early to see if he can stay healthy.

    B) There was no guarantee that he would have wanted to stay here. I personally think he was gone regardless. I think the Blazers probably felt the same way.

    C) He isn't even playing that well. I don't see what the big deal is.

You're opinion is wrong. Oden is a piece of garbage. We should have cut him when he had his first micro fracture surgery.

There were people who clung to the idea of him returning and being dominant for the entire time he was here. There will be people who think it was a bad idea to cut him until the day that he retires. He hasn't done anything impressive since returning. Just a couple dunks, but apparently that's all some people need.

That's your excuse for losing the future best center in the league? It'll be a low bar as Dwight Howard ages. This is Pritchard's fault. Everyone wanted to draft Oden and Pritchard felt forced into it. So he wouldn't let Oden try to come back. It was always, let it bake a couple of years until we invent a new mystery injury. You suspected nothing? Even after this Pritchard character parachuted out with the mystery falling out with Allen? See the pattern?

What's the advantage in that? Do you watch only serious TV and movies? Oden may yet become a sub who can play every other game a few minutes, which is more than Leonard is doing. Who knows.

Leonard isn't in the rotation. You guys keep comparing him to people that have barely sniffed the court this season. He's part of Miami's rotation right now. He wasn't going to sign here.

He accepted about $1 million for his last season here. No one else wanted him. After Allen finally dumped the trainer, Oden would have wanted more of that easy Allen money.

This is the bottom line. He felt the pressure and disdain fromt the fans well before he left. Just think how it would have been for another two years. He wanted out. There is not way in fucking hell he would have resigned, unless we over paid to keep him. (Which would have been stupid)

Yes we got got screwed on the pick. He got hurt over and over. But the organization and Greg needed to move on. And so do we.

We're #3 in the league even without Oden. Imagine what we'd be with him protecting Lillard so Lillard can go inside, or with Batum and Aldridge and Matthews having scoring bonanzas because Oden muscles everyone in the paint...it makes me cry.

Oden's best skill was being injured and missing time.

Unlike Los Angeles, porn actors don't have to wear condoms while making adult films in Portland.

Oden might have liked living here better if he had known this.

False. He accepted the $1 million QUALIFIER so he could be a UFA the next summer. Plenty of teams were interested in him, as shown by the number of teams that reached out to him when he decided to return to basketball.

I wouldn't consider him part of the rotation just yet.
