With San Antonio losing to Miami, we are tied with them in terms of win/loss but we currently hold the tiebreaker so we move ahead. We're 1.5 games behind OKC though. Not looking good to pass them before the A* break. They still have Miami though, so who knows.
I think it's absolutely key for us to move forward. This is still a relatively young team, and having HCA will be a real plus if we go against a team like Houston or Dallas.
Crap. I wanted Stotts to coach the ASG. Plus, as stated, we need home court in the playoffs. Some good playoff experience and other player development and we are going to fricking rock next season.
The dream isn't dead yet. OKC still has Miami and Brooklyn left on their schedule. I'm not 100% sure when the cutoff is though.
No we are third, not second.. The NBA has a stupid tie-breaker that goes before the head-to-head record, which is if your not a division leader, then you automatically lose the tie breaker. So basically, even if we sweep the Spurs, the Spurs still own the tie-breaker over us if OKC has a better record than us.. So ridiculous
Brooklyn has actually come alive this month, losing I believe only one game. They've beat the Heat twice. They have a chance against OKC. But honestly, between now and the 2nd, OKC has a pretty soft schedule, so even if the Blazers won all of their games, the odds of OKC cooperating and losing a couple are slim.
They still have @Brooklyn and @Washington, too. It's an uphill climb for the Blazers, but if they win out through 2/1, it's possible.
We need to tie up OKC by Feb 2nd to get Stotts in. OKC has to play Miami and Brooklyn, the hottest team in 2014. We just have to win out and hope OKC loses one of those games.
1 after tonight. We're only down by one loss. If we win out and they lose 1 game, we'll have the tie breaker. We just need to win out and get one loss from them.
