Consider the source depends on your tourist $, consider it uses years-old data which no longer represents reality, consider the State Dept now considers all of Mexico unsafe for travel. They go so far as suggesting you hide the fact you are American.
"sew a canadian flag on your backpack". hah. There's reality and non-reality. The state department knows jack shit, PV is fine as long as you can take care of yourself.
That's just an opinionated person being upset someone took a dig at his current hometown. And yeah, there is some sorta problem in Lapine. It's either meth, or just the population has too many dumb rednecks. There's no meth problem in LO, FAMS. Meth is a poor man's drug. Weed, coke, and ecstasy can certainly be found in LO, though.
LOL. Well, it was nice knowing Zags then. I don't think PV is necessarily "unsafe". I just think there are locals that are happy to take advantage of tourists at all costs, and if you put yourself in a vulnerable position, a local is likely going to try to take advantage. Happens in a lot of heavy-tourist destinations, but I think the behaviors are a bit more extreme in some (like PV). Now Tijuana, today, I wouldn't go near there as a whitey.
I'm a pussy for saying that locals take advantage of tourists? Or for saying I wouldn't go to TJ? Gringos do NOT belong in TJ these days, homie. If that makes me a pussy...... then give me a tampon - I prefer not to bleed (aka get shot or stabbed or stuck in Mexican prison).
I might suggest Lonely Planets website for travel journals that are updated daily. It's great! They'll describe the scams and pickpockets and tell you where not to go for valid reasons. Another tip I learned in all my overseas travels throughout the years is not looking like you're made of money when you get off the tourist path. Dress like a local, walk with a purpose and direction. Don't carry much cash or a passport...get a photo copy of any document before you leave. I traveled throughout Mexico and Central America without incident but that was a long time ago. Lonely Planet or Globe Trekker have the best websites for preparing for a trip. Another rule of thumb...don't accept food or drink from strangers ever, anywhere! You might wake up two days later with a headache and not much else.
Just seemed scared to do anything outside of your usual gringo traps. Taking that suburban lifestyle internationally. Stay on resort. Put on tommy bahama shirt. rinse. repeat. Go home. eat at the cheesecake factory. rinse. repeat. Just seems like a boring and scared way to travel. You should be balls deep in some mexican trannies doing yay out of her ass.
What did your studies find? I'm interested to know. You've never partied til you've partied on Molli.
Like with anything if you abuse it can be harmful or even tragic. All these retarded 19 year olds at concerts make it publicized as much more horrible than it is. If you have a trustworthy person getting it for you it can be the best night of your life.
Understandable. I'm not big on drugs either. I don't like cocaine. I don't like pot. I hate mushrooms. I do however like taking Molly once or twice a year.
I'll be having fun in Cabo that's for sure! This will be the 7th time I've been there I think. Been about 7 years since the last time though.
Cabo is dope. Nikki Beach is a good time. Last time they let me drunk jet ski. lol. I was going so slow.
Well, talk about an ignorant post. I didn't say anything about wanting to stay on the resort. I don't really care for Mexico. I've been to TJ before. Only gringo in our group. If I hadn't been with a group of Hispanics, it was pretty clear I'd have left bloodied and beaten, ended up in jail, or I wouldn't have been leaving at all. After TJ, we drove down to Baja. That was 9 years ago, though. I had a lot of fun. I just don't care to repeat that. I saw a lot of crazy shit. We would pass "checkpoints" with a rope sitting on two cones running across the street. Dudes with guns stopping and checking us out before we continued on. Totally different world. Shit was bad then, and only gets worse. I've been to Cabo, too. Aside from the sun and beach, I really didn't care for it. I can get the same thing in Florida and Hawaii (though Hawaii is way more expensive). The resorts are kinds lame. I never really said anything about wanting to go spend my time chilling in some resort the entire time in Mexico. But yeah, go ahead and put me in that box. As for trannies....not my thing. If it's yours', I ain't judging. More power to you.
