Because the guys around them and that they are passing do. It was a joke on how many numbers we have retired.
I thought it was interesting how high Wes and Nic are on 3 pointers in team history. They might be #1 and #2 in not too long. A few years later Lillard should join them.
It probably has more to do with an offensive resurgence, but it's crazy that Damian Lillard in 2 years is higher than Brandon Roy in ppg. (19.7 vs. 19.0 per basketballreference)
Ok. 3 pointers: 1. Terry Porter, 773 2. Damon Stoudamire, 717 3. Nic Batum, 590 4. Wes Matthews, 586 12. Damian Lillard, 330. He trails Cliff, Clyde, Martell, Rudy, Rasheed & Derek Anderson 13. Brandon Roy Interesting that Lillard has surpassed Roy's entire career in less than two years. Gramps...
I think he is saying that Lillard is making them at a higher number per year so it doesn't matter if Wes is here or not. Lillard will finish on top (barring injury) even if both Wes and Lillard retire Blazers.
