Then save Batum for then by starting someone else, especially if Batum is really sick and injured, his latest excuses.

Batum went to the bench for a season so that a much more aggressive scorer and inside rebounder, Gerald Wallace, could start.

Hmmm not sure that's totally accurate. The scoring difference was marginal but Wallace was a better defender and rebounder. Also I'm not sure Batum would be the better player at that point in time.

Well I guess you could start C.J and bring Wes off the bench?

No need for that. Before the lastest injuries, they were bringing Wes back in the game as a SF to play with the 2nd team. So far IMO it has not worked, but I would give it more time. I think a unit of Mo, CJ, Wes, TRob and a center could work. (Losing Joel hurt that scenario though)

Last game he looked better than he ever has this season, by far, but it's just one game. For most of the season, he hasn't even looked like "bench material".

Batum and Wright have to both start with Aldridge out.

Well if it's too late to trade Batum at this point, Blazers should just bench him!

This is nothing against Batum or who is the better player. Nor would I see it as a punishment.
    First unit would be:
    PG: Lillard
    SG: Mathews
    SF: Wright
    PF: Aldridge
    C: Lopez

Then you would have: Williams, McCullom, Batum, Freeland, Robinson, Leonard, Watson, Claver, Crabbe, Barton.

It's worth a try for 10-15 games. Lillard can run an offence without Batum and Batum can run the 2nd unit.

So should we start CJ one time to see if he is better as a starter and then start bringing Wes off the bench?

What if Mo is better as a starter?

It's not if he's better as a starter it's whats better for the team. You think Thabo Sefolosha is better than Jeremy Lamb?

I love Wes as a player, but he is nowhere near a playmaker like Manu.

IMO, Batum needs to rotate with Wright after he decides to fade out during his regular scheduled times. We see it, so Coach must as well. Instead of him just floating around for the rest of the game, sub him out ASAP.

    Damn frenchies.

Wright just a hell of a game for me in he staring unit on NBA2k14. 18Pts, 4-5 from 3, 5 rebounds and a block. I'm playing another game to see if I get similar results.

It is not a horrible idea. If it bothers Batum then start him and take him out early in the first, so he can be back to start the 2nd and 4th quarters. His play making ability would seem to fit with Mo , CJ and Trob
