Yeah its been pretty dead. As far as Dan & the poster that calls himself Jersey. I think either you or Ron may be able to do that. I just left a message on the 1903 site for Dan & Jersey to join us if they like. and that they'd be very welcomed here. I don't know anyone else there.
My old buddy Rob (mattingly23) has joined us already. It would be nice to get some more new fresh blood. And who knows I wouldn't even be surprised if once we get into the season if a few old faces stop by out of curiousity. Some, I wouldn't mind but there's 3-4 others that would be a real thorn.
I responded to '69 at 1:00 this afternoon. Rick's post is the latest in the fickle nature of the ESPN fogeys, probably the 900th time you have tried to post on MI1903 and have reneged and gone to some shit spin off board where you're a subforum. Due to the response from Rick, the board is being closed. Please do not return or contact me. Thanks.
...Dan, Rick is right, you took this the wrong way...my comment was because I sent you 2 PMs a couple of days ago when Rick could not remember his password...and I had not heard back from you as of this morning. I thought maybe something was wrong, that's it. ...not sure why you'd choose to close the board over something rick or anyone else said...that makes no sense at all...but it's your board and your call. Ron it was in all good taste a kind message simply headed, "Dan & Jersey" something to the effect that if he has trouble maintaining the board to keep it up that we would love to have you both here. You'd both be more then welcome. Please let me know. Apparently he took it WAY out of content.
I had just signed up for that board yesterday or so to see what was going on just in case anyone else got banned...
The board was dying a slow death. I mean there were maybe 3-4 posters left so I just thought I throw a life line so in good faith I invited him over here if he was no longer going to keep that board open. Oh well. Not the first time I had an extended hand slapped away.
...ahh, so that's it. I thought he was talking about your first post in this thread...I didn't realize he meant a post you made on his board. ...I still don't understand why he chose to close the site. Dan, if you are reading this please email me...I'd like to bounce something off you.
'59 you can PM me if you'd like if you'd like to ask me something I'm sorry if I took it wrong but it's been several times where people have tried to post on the site and then go away so it gets frustrating
Wait Dan, your a good guy, I've missed your MI-1903 board. I went there a few times in the last year. Honestly, I thought the board had been shut down several years ago, as I never saw any new posts. I thought then how sad, its gone, done. I know you put alot of hard work in the 1903 board, and it would be sad to not have you around on any Yankees board. Honestly, I thought everyone had moved on, and the board was shut down. Seems things went downhill, since the legendary Broadway Belm departed this life. My hats off to BB, I am not worthy of his shadow. The world lost a good man, we lost a friend, and great Yankee Fan. However the world lost even more with Broadways passing. A very dark day, month year, in Yankees message board posting. My deepest sentiments always. As much my friendship is always yours Dan. I will never forget you for the help you provided me personally on the Made In 1903 Board, you should be recognized for your hard work.
Dan, for what it's worth, your passion is understandable. I hope you consider this an option if you decide to change. All the old posters song your praises. Good luck with whatever you decide.
