well, just wait for the next president, and it'll be their fault, or "still blame Obama", thrown in with references to righties bitching about Bush getting blamed years later (as they're blaming Obama..years later).

    So, no...it won't change much.

Sometimes we talk about guns and gays. Obama's to blame for those also though.

No. Most of the right-wing is too busy to be posting here, while the left-wing has plenty of time.

Which is why I'm here about 50% of the time. I'm often too busy to be posting here, but I occasionally ignore work to post.

Its not so much that this is an Anti-Obama board, its just his supporters are embarrassed to defend him due to his performance in office.

I didn't realize Obama still had supporters. Pretty much everyone I know that was an Obama supporter, while still being against Republican candidates as President, no longer like and support him.

That's what you get by associating with and getting your news information from conservative circlejerk sources.

I'm not sure how you equated me getting news information from my comment about "everyone I know". I never spoke about news sources. I was referring to people I know. I thought that was evident? :dunno:

I work for a very liberal company. Very. All of my friends are for more liberal than I am. I'd say nearly all of them WERE pro-Obama. Nearly all of them, while staunch Democrats (if there is such a thing), have lost all faith in Obama.

Besides, aside from sports news, the only place I really get any sort of news is from S2. Which, aside from PapaG, is mostly liberal-driven. S2 may be a circlejerk, but I don't think calling it conservative is fair.

Alex, you may just have to pick and choose which threads to delve into. I've been known for participating heavily in the political threads in the past, but now I just find them tedious, and rarely even click on the threads. But this is where those threads belong, so in the future, when I get a wild political hair up my ass, I'll come here and know there will be plenty of people to debate with. Start your own threads if there's a topic you want to discuss.

Obama is what we thought he was all along: a moderate. Talked a big "change" line, but really was cut from the same political cloth as Bill Clinton, another moderate.

It's only the hysterical right media that keeps portraying him as a "socialist", "communist", "class warfare warrior for the poor and lazy", and "worst president ever". Those on the left who thought him to be some super-savior of the liberal causes deserve to be disappointed by their unrealistic expectations of the man.

Those of us on the moderate left are mostly disappointed on his stances on national security and the continuation of xenophobic Bush-era policies, but he has done a decent job on the economy (slowly righting the ship from the shit sandwich that Bush Jr. left the country in) and Obamacare will prove in the future to be a step in the right direction.

There are three threads with Obama's name in the title on the front page out of the 25 listed. If you don't have the self-control to skip those threads, that's a you problem, not a we problem. Exaggerating doesn't exactly help your cause in this instance.

Obama: some good ideas, poor execution.

Of course, the part of the equation I gave him credit for above (good ideas), were not his to begin with.
