"They invented the All-Star Game for Willie Mays." - quote by Ted Williams To date, only two franchises have never hosted a game: the Miami Marlins (although scheduled to host the game in 2000, Major League Baseball moved the game to Atlanta), and the Tampa Bay Rays. The Washington Nationals franchise hosted the game when they were the Montreal Expos, and All-Star Games have been played in D.C., hosted by both incarnations of the Washington Senators (now the Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers).
Okay wise guy, get off my toes. Good stuff Rob. I still laugh every time I think about our idiot commishioner when the all star game ended in a tie a few years back.
I've never cared for Selig either. The ex-owner has only been a puppet to the Owners, IMO. Can't wait to see his replacement, maybe we will get a real commish, maybe not. OT: speaking of stepping on toes, Kim was just reminiscing about the only 2 slow dances we ever had. During the 1st time, (with a slow dance only), I had to tell her to put her feet on top of mine, cuz I constantly stepped on her toes. End of problem, and end of dancing, (I despised dancing of any sort, tho' I felt I owed Kim at least one or two attempts).
