Oh, yeah, that was my second thought too. You have to know your audience.

Would you rather your mermaid be top half fish or bottom half fish?

I think you suffer from a severe case of boredom. You bring that in here and you jump at things that maybe you shouldn't be. Like the whole _amian lillar_ post. To me you were prematurely exploiting something on the kid without giving him a chance to prove what he is made of. A lot of you who 'non homers' are unrealistic with your expectations and want instant gratification. There is perspective to everything and it amazes me how some of you don't have it. There is a process to everything. Sooner than later the team will get to where you want it to get to. But it takes time and it takes patience and even perserverance. If you can't deal with that, maybe it's just far too difficult and hard to be a fan. And maybe you should stop.

I agree. You've taken over the board. You've been suspended twice in the last month, and are still baiting posters (which I copied above), but have fun.

It's your forum, now. Some of us have found a new home. :devilwink:

Yeah, pretty much this. Wow. Weird thing is some posters are agreeing with him.

I will point out that NateBishop3 once posted that he hoped the Blazers would lose, just so he'd be right about Nate McMillan as a coach.

here we go with a "you suffer from boredom, you do this, you do that, you bring this, you don't have it....(This is attacking a poster by the way) I was 23 when the Blazers won a championship and it was great, I'm 60 and still a fan. It is a process and if folks let it be, it's entertaining. cmeese was born in 1983 so he's never experienced that and I hope he gets to soon. He never stops being a fan even if it's often a pessimistic or disgruntled one, that's his choice. I think the point of this whole thread was to stop drawing these imaginary lines in the sand and share the site with civility. I commend him for making the effort.

Not defending what he said or picking a side but that was not, IMO, a personal attack.

Oh, he swallowed that a couple of years ago. Blows the thing every time he passes gas.

He's attacking the S2 forum isn't he? As for him not stop being a fan. That's what being a fan is all about. I'm not sure a pat on the back is needed. I've been a fan since 86. I'm pretty sure there are those in here that have been a fan for a longer period of time. We've all been through a lot. That doesn't mean we lose all perspective when perspective is probably required. There are no guarantees when following a team. There are no guarantees they ever win a championship in his lifetime. Is h going to quit being a fan because of that? I hope not. That's what being a fan is about.

I wouldn't say anything derogatory about anyone.

Boredom is a state someone is in. Not the person himself.

    Trolling 101

    1) lay bait
    2) reel in the fish
    3) play victim when you catch a shark

I'm a new poster and Im not having my head bitten off. The people love me. If you ask nicely, I may take you under my wing.

I did read the whole thread and my outline was pretty much, talk about the team, basketball, etc and spend less time harping on fans who post here. I don't agree with cmeese often but as I said, I commend him for writing that and I think he's improved since he's started reposting again. I read your post as well and it was not general IMO. It was specifically about him. I'm not a mod, don't want to be.

someone seems to stop being a fan on the game thread whenever we lose a game. then they're back for the next one.
