A letdown game with 5 games to play with a chance at the 4 seed

    That's comforting

It's more like the Blazers are 3-13 vs western conference playoff teams in 2014. Last night was actually the norm for Portland these days, except this time they were outplayed/outclassed by the #9 seed in the west.

Excuses need to stop being made and people need to accept the fact that this Blazers team isn't that big of a threat in the playoffs.

I disagree, but you're a gimmick poster, so what does it matter?

Not only did they have a chance at the 4 seed, they need to fight off the Warriors to stay in the 5th spot. Plenty of reasons to come out fired up.

So if they did have a letdown, boy........... this team is in trouble. At this point in the season that's worse than getting your ass kicked.

With that said I don't think it was a letdown game. I think the Blazers struggle with the good teams in the west and last night was just another example of that. They're just not good enough.

I think the playoffs will come and the Blazers will be outmatched big time. I think Stotts will be exposed as a guy that can't make adjustments to the offense once the jumpers aren't falling, and the Blazers offense will be shutdown.

Something happened in the 4th quarter. Maybe the Suns just played very well? I don't know what happened, other than they lost a game, and the usual pantshitters are flailing away for reasons again.

Phoenix is fighting for a playoff spot and lost by 16 points to the Lakers a few days ago. Indiana can't score right now.

    I say fire all coaches!

I think the Suns match up perfectly with us. Kinda like how we match up so well with the Spurs, but that doesn't make us the better team. Playoff success will come down to just that, matchups.

Personally, I like our chances against Houston, HCA or not.

I think it's a myth that the Blazers match up well with the Spurs

My question is when do we start blaming Stotts like we did Nate?

I don't think its about being right, it's about seeing issues that continually crop up game after game and talking about them.

I love my Blazers, but it's definitely disheartening seeing the same stupid shit happen game after game.

Have you been out of the country? During our losses the last few weeks, Stotts was Public Enemy No. 1 for a number of posters here.

Like the 49 wins? Or the games lost by less than 5 points? The games with a full roster? I'm not buying the game after game exaggeration here. The Suns really played an excellent end game and made shots. We didn't. Top teams have been losing games since the allstar game except the Spurs and they just lost one. Somebody loses a game every night, you don't fire a coach with this record and this much success. This is really short term sensationalism.

Sometimes your favorite team wins. Sometimes your favorite team fails. What confuses me is that so many people get so pissed off when the team, or individual players, fail.

You said it BBert! In the end it's a game played with a big ball by men in shorts. It's fun to watch but sometimes people act like it's an election campaign. Way too serious and I wonder how some can enjoy the sport on any level?
Any fan of the Blazers has to have thick skin if you've followed them from the start. This is a good season to be a Blazer fan, I've cheered for the Blazers under much uglier circumstances. My suggestion is for some folks to maybe try to enjoy the skill of the game and cheer for your favorite. I still can appreciate when the bad guys play great basketball because I love the sport. I was never a Rocket fan but I loved seeing the Alajuwon play. Thing of beauty. This kid Green along with Bledsoe played great last night.

Did you see the part I bolded? There is an extraneous example of a team having good success and still firing their coach.

I was just jabbin' ya. Calm down. :)
