Udoh has only played 195 of 312 possible games in his career to date. Can he play defense? You bet. Is he worth trading Leonard for? No, he is 5 years older and what you've seen from Udoh is what you're going to get and it is far below average. With Leonard you still have a year or two left before you find out what he is really going to be.
I don't think there is any chance we cut Watson. The players people are talking about picking up aren't much better than a DLeague big man that we can add at any point in the season if an injury pops up. I was hoping we'd have kept Withey, he would have more of an opportunity for a role than MyLee. We really have zero use for Crabbe at this point. If we can get equal value in a trade than sure the team should think about pulling the trigger but if not; we will be fine starting the year with what we got. There are a number of unknowns this season. If CJ exceed exceptions maybe he will earn minutes from Mo! Then we could look at trading away Mo which would clear up the log jam in the back court. All of our PG-SG-SF are versatile position wise so if one guy is injured we will have the perfect amount of minutes for our backups. If a beneficial trade presents itself we have the option of sending out a guard and still fielding a complete team. If the coaches want to run like hell we have the bodies to limit everyone to 30 mins a game.
That's certainly a concern. See, if he can play defense then that right there makes him worth trading Leonard for. In fact, if he can play basketball then he's worth it. However, I'm going to give up on this because there's no way Olshey gives up on Leonard so quickly. Depends what the "it" is. If "it" is contributions to his team winning (kinda important, I'd say) then it has been far above average. I think I've got a fair idea. Check back with me in a couple of years and let's see if I'm right. (Hint: poor man's Spencer Hawes.)
I think it's all fair. I'm not sitting here saying Leonard is some beast but I'm not gonna give up on 21 year old 7'1 big man. I think more minutes will help him majorly.
I think he needs them. How can one prove he is getting better without time on the floor? We don't want this to end up like a J. O'Neal situation...
Mo has brought exactly what I expected to the team and I'm happy with his performance. If people had never seen him play before and didn't know what type of player he was, that's their fault.
Yeah, I don't get why there's any "I told you so" here. If Mo were playing like this and the team were well below .500, then there would be the "why did we bother?" angle, but considering how well the team is doing... why would we second-guess previous excitement over his addition? Ed O.
The first third of the season: no. The last third of the season: yes. Now what matters is the playoffs. That's what he was hired for.
Agreed. I think Mo will probably have a better series than Dame. I hope I'm wrong on that, but either way I think Mo will come through for us.
It's like a yellow rubber duck. Just press the Nolan Smith reminder, and out of my mouth come the squeaky words, "Mo is great!"

Gonna need Mo to really step up in the playoffs. We have a lot of young guys with zero experience. Mo and LA will have to be the leaders, showing the young fellas what to do.
