Feud? What is the point of that. To each their own. Ranger fans are negative as a whole, is what it is. Everyone is a fan in their own way. Not for me to judge.
Pasta, here's the funny thing. I don't think I said anything that was negative about the way we are playing. All I did was state facts. I'm not going to repeat like someone we know except to say the series could and should have been over. We have dominated most of the play. That's not negative. That's fact. But we haven't clinched yet so on we go. On the bright side, it's just more hockey to watch before a very long summer begins at some point.
And papa, I agree with you man. We have controlled the majority of the play, and to me have shown we are the better team. I agree 100%. The only place we disagree is I think Philly is solid, not great but solid, and you think they are not a good team. All good man.
How can a team be a solid playoff team when their goaltending and defense is very suspect? You can get away with it in the regular season but not in the playoffs. That's why the Flyers finished only 2 points behind us. For god sakes, yesterday, the flyers had Hal Gill as their 6th D-man. He is so slow that I bet Vince Gill, the country singer who probably has never been on skates could beat Hal in a race around the rink.
We'll just agree to disagree. They made the playoffs. They only had two less points than us after a terrible start. Mason was very good this season, so he was not suspect. They have a lot of talent upfront. There is no point of debating this anymore. You feel the way you do, Flyers are not a good team, and I think they are a solid team. Again not great by any stretch but solid. You have zero respect for them, or the fact that this is a big rivalry which adds another level to this series, but again that is cool and your opinion. We agree to disagree on that. No issues.
What is the point of all this? Is it to belittle the Rangers and say how come they didn't beat the Flyers in 4 or 5? Is it to give the Rangers no credit if they beat the Flyers in 6 or 7 since the Flyers are not good? Is it to kill the Rangers if they lose in 7 games? I just don't understand the goal here. The Flyers are a playoff team. As is proven just about every season in the NHL playoffs, anything can happen. Double so when the series is with a big rival. So I don't understand the point. The Rangers have never trailed in the series. The Rangers have a 3-2 lead in the series. The Rangers can close it out tomorrow night. So what is the point? That is what I don't get.
Chuck, you are one of a kind. When your narrative doesn't work you try to put words in my mouth. Others may let you do it in here but I won't. I said the Flyers are not a good playoff team. And I have said absolutely nothing one way or the other about my feelings of it being a rivalry. If you can't admit that the flyer team we are playing is not built for the playoffs, you are a lost cause. Even with Nash having his head up his ass, our forwards are better, our defense is better, our goaltending is better, and our coaching is better. And since there is basically no more fighting in playoff hockey, they can't even be solid in what they did best in the regular season. So what category have the flyers been solid in in this series? In the playoffs? Not the regular season. In the playoffs!

Why I will be very happy if we beat the Flyers, get the Pens, and why I think we beat the Pens easier, 6 most likely. The Pens goalie and D are awful. I make the same mistake with them every game. No matter how much they are up by...NEVER call it a game until the final whistle blows...LOL.
Not really. So you two don't think the Flyers are good. What is the point? Does that mean the Rangers win means nothing if/when they win? Does that mean we are bad because we didn't win in 4 or 5? I don't get it guys. Personally, I think you two are flat out lost. In the NHL playoffs almost every series is tight. Almost every series goes 6 or 7. When it is a rivalry it goes up another notch. NOW it is official...LOL. To me if we beat the Flyers, we will beat the Pens. Control Cindy and Malkin somewhat and we have them beat. They are not that good. I will say us in 6 IF we get by the Flyers.

In the East there is Boston...a HUGE dropoff...then everyone else. Don't put us and Boston in the same arena bro.
My point is a team can be a good regular season team and not a good post season team. The flyers are built for the regular season where they can fight and frustrate teams and get them off their game. But in the new age of hockey playoffs the broad street bullies theory doesn't work.
