I didn't interpret the idea was to replace Mo with Barton, but rather to pull the plug on Mo in a crucial game if he's getting torched and also not contributing to the offensive execution or scoring. We can't just fuck around and watch Mo and Wright lose this series. If they are playing as poorly tomorrow as they did last night, yank them and put someone else in, for three to five minutes anyway. Barton and TRob both bring the kind of energy that messes up the other team's flow. If we are getting killed like last night, what's it hurt to put them in for a few minutes and see what happens? Last night, in hindsight, I doubt they'd have done worse.

I would once again like to facetiously thank Mo for lighting a fire under the Houston Rockettes team and fans. Well done. Moron.

NB3....you're shameless. As the Defender of Barton Island (my sig is proof for quite some time) The People's Champ has a way of changing things up. Not always is it great but I like:

    • that he keeps the Blazers from having such a small backcourt
    • is a very good rebounder for his size
    • pushes the ball at every opportunity
    • attacks the basket with no fear
    • gets in the passing lanes

All of those things are areas Mo struggles in. I can't stand the Dame/Mo backcourt. Will at least gives them a fighting chance to not be Lilliputian.

I agree. I hate when Mo and Dame are in the game together. Neither one of them is a good defender, and neither one of them is really big enough to be a shooting guard, so they just get abused. I can't wait until Mo is gone. Mostly I suggested Barton because of the things he did last night. He attacks the rim, he pushes the ball, and he has no conscience. You know he's going to be aggressive from the moment he comes into the game. It seems like Robinson feeds off him too. When they went into the game they both pushed the ball and attacked the Spurs in the paint. Yes, they're out of control at times, but that's what they do. They wreak havoc. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it's always full throttle.

Me too! I think those two should play all of their minutes together! Imagine the chemistry they'd build if every second they played the other was right there with them!

They really just go for the high risk, high reward plays. LMA will see a possible rebound, and think "Meh i should get back to the other end of the court. I probably can't get that rebound. It's safer if I save my energy." But Danger Will-Robinson will always go for that rebound, even if it's not going to happen. Danger Will-Robinson are always looking for transition in the paint.
