And 63% at the rim, where he gets a third of his shots from. What are we arguing again? Do you really think we shouldn't attempt to keep Parker from getting layups because he'll probably just make jumpers anyway? Or am I misinterpreting? I'll take the less than 50% rate of his jumpers if it means we cut down on his layups and dump off assists. Remember, it's not just his layups we have to worry about.
I'm saying the Blazers give the other team the mid-range jumper. That's how they play their pick and roll defense. Tony Parker is a phenomenal mid-range shooter. Those are easy shots for him. Basically I'm saying Tony Parker is going to be a nightmare if his shot is falling, because he's going to get all the good looks he wants.
It's still an "if", he can be streaky. I'd take him being hot from midrange over him abusing the paint in multiple ways.
I guess we could just punch Parker in the face like Dallas just did.... maybe that is what RoyToy was getting at
He gets his points in the paint in transition. Basically Tony Parker is just really good. Nightmare matching up against him.
I agree, we should let the spurs get layups. Just guard the three point line and literally nothing else, if they are making their layups then we don't deserve to win.
good thing is the stretch of 7 games for the Spurs .. They are tired more then they are hope.. overall thinking was spurs swept dallas easily..
Yes in fact during the first half I was thinking about looking up his contract status. But I'm too lazy.
