Man that's just basketball and passion. Sure it stings to hear that as a fan of this team, but you can't say he's a bad person because of his passion for the game.

Hate him as a player, not as a person.

Hopefully LAC knock out MethCK. I have tickets for game three in LA, too.

I think I got sick of Durant due to Royce Young (Thunder's version of Golliver) swinging from Durant's nutsack. I had to block him on twitter b/c I got sick of seeing his RTs on my timeline.

How would you feel if other fans started hating dame because of canzano. I don't think that's fair to the player...

I could care less. I think I just don't like OKC in general and that translates to hating Durant.

Dunno if this is against the rules, but that Spursfan sig GIF gives me continuity porn shivers... I've always wanted a team that is successful over a decade with career stars...

Don't get me wrong I hate okc and their stupid entitled fans who I promise will abandon ship after 2 losing seasons. But you are giving Durant a bad rap. You telling me you wouldn't want him to be a blazer bc you dislike him so much?

I dislike him as a function of the franchise he plays on. I'd probably like Kobe if he wasn't a L*ker. The player's team affects my outlook on him.

I was the BIGGEST Shaq fan in high school. I had all the Shaq gear. When he went to LA, he instantly became the player I hated the most in the NBA.

If he wasn't a Laker and Eagle, Colorado never happened.

Yep. They were gifted the second best player in the league. Christ! Didn't even have to draft him.

Hopefully Seattle gets a new team in the near future.

I agree, badass GIF, and awesome that it resembles that long term cohesion and loyalty.

Also, Durant is a self absorbed star. He was humble, now he buys into his hype so much he thinks someone MUST have fouled him on the line if he missed a free throw. Dude said a prepared speech that someone probably helped him write, but his actions on the court and in front of the media on the spot tell a less-than humble story.

Great speech. Love the end when he says his mom is the real MVP.
Haters gonna hate because of their own personal issues.

You should listen to it, I think it might change your perspective. The fact he goes down the line and addresses each of his team mates personally shows how committed he is to the team as a group, and shows his understanding that it is more than him. If anything he is too humble, but you can't fault him for saying his mother is the true MVP.

You know when I think of an arrogant prick, I think of Dwight Howard.

I would say that KD is grounded and pretty humble for what he has accomplished to this point.

Dwight doesn't seem like the best off the court, but he also doesn't seem like the worst. I think as a fan it's hard to differentiate between players on and off the court. Especially when they play for a team that is not the one you follow. I used to think the same about Lebron until I started doing research and learned that the media spent many years painting him as a demon. Then I saw the videos of his fan interaction and realized he was a lot better person than the media made him out to be.

I'll probably be chastised for that video, and my beliefs. But you don't see stuff like that often, especially from a star player.

That being said I rank KD ahead of Lebron on my respect level because "the decision" still weighs LBJ down heavily in my book.
