One multi-layered situation to watch: Hoiberg is very high on the Warriors’ list, but he’s also rumored to be a potential candidate to replace Thibodeau in Chicago, if the Bulls decide to move on from Thibodeau.

If that should happen, the Warriors would be VERY interested in talking to Thibodeau, and one of Thibodeau’s favorite players is pending free agent Luol Deng.

That very multi-layered, but I’m just throwing that one out there.

Thibs is a very good coach, but he is demanding all of the time. The team performs at a high level all season, so therefore do not have another gear so to speak for the playoffs. Players tire on such demands over time. So far, this team hasn't and is still doing what he demands.

I dont see them making a change right now, but would not be surprised if one is made in a year or two.

The fact that this group of players have continued to accept Thibodeau's, um, strenuous coaching is a testament not only to Thibodeau's powers of persuasion, but also to the players' character. As a Bulls fan, you have to love that they're willing to pay a high price even without a realistic chance at a championship.

As for the OP, as near as I can tell, this Hoiberg-to-Bulls stuff came from a Bill Simmons tweet where he decided to make this prediction. If this is all there is to it, you're definitely talking about making something up from "whole cloth." I've been a Simmons fan, but I'm starting to think that he's being taken too seriously by some. He's a lovable goof and a good writer, but not a NBA insider.
