Im so bad at drawing that it's not worth while for me to go to the animation academy, but the concept is awesome. I feel I'm pretty good at astro blasters even though I've never gotten galactic hero. I'm average at midway mania, but to be fair I've only ridden it like 8 times. The coasters are good nostalgia but not thrilling to me, I want to go to magic mountain(x2 looks like the shit) Soarin is over rated imo, and the line is always long as fk(I waited 30 minutes just for single rider last time I was there during the offseason). Bengal barbecue is the shit, I go for the banyan beef skewers. The little mermaid ride is amazing because of the animatronics. What's your highest score on astroblasters king? I rode it like 25x last trip, went on and went right back into a walk through line many times on my last trip. One of the cast members working the ride noticed my blazers gear and said go blazers. I actually got stopped by a lot of people who wanted to talk about the blazers or reciprocate their interest in the team last trip. One dude was a warriors fan but said he had LA on his fantasy team and was happy he was putting in work. It was refreshing for some where located so close to faker town. It's also worth noting that on my last trip I basically got pretty lifted before going to the park. Some of the lines are buzz kills because of how long they are(radiator springs racers) but for the most part the park and rides were a lot more exciting. I was in an observatory/analyzing state of mind. It's really interesting observing the differentiating moods of park guests both waiting in line and after getting off a ride. Being a life long disneyland park goer I came to a conclusion about societal distancing after my last trip. It would be an entire post of its own if I were to go into detail(I am willing to if you are interested). To summarize my thoughts - people in the modern era are much more reserved around strangers, and often reluctant to create conversation with people they don't know.
A few years ago the Indiana Jones ride broke and we had to walk out of there. Pretty cool walking through the whole fucking ride when everything's off. :MARIS61:
we go to orlando, and out here, universal is way better, disneyland is full of seagulls and dirty diapers, smells like bigfoot ate a bunch of burnt hair and took a shit on top of a dead skunk
I haven't been to either since 2006, when I took that pic above. One of my bros has the annual pass and lives near Disnelyand so he goes there like 2x a week. Parks at Downtown Disney, only stays 2-3 hours at a time with his daughter, pretty dope.
IoA is my favorite theme park, although it has a huge central lake with no shortage of mangy seagulls looking for a handout. Also it tends to be just as annoyingly crowded as Disney parks since WW Harry Potter opened.
i asked the three broomsticks wench to make me a butterbeer mixer and she said she wasnt allowed to, wtf
Indiana jones is my sisters favorite ride and she has had that happen to her multiple times. She always brags about it, I've never had it happen to me
Do you do all the rides? If so what is your favorite? I've never had the chance to do any thrill rides, so the most thrilling thing I've been on is tower of terror. But after last trip it was kind of a snooze.
We have annual passes for Disneyland. The kids love it, but I think we are not going to renew when it is up. Only so many times I can play the Toy Story Arcade and Buzz Lightyear with my six year old.
I used to. Now at age 50+ there's some that give me a lingering headache so not worth it - mainly the ones with tight loops or helixes. Still love wooden coasters, the first half of Goliath etc. Lex Luthor Drop of Doom installed on the sides of Superman is one of the tallest drop towers in the world. It's like the feeling you get on ToT except x10. Certainly my favorite current "ride" at SFMM.
Nope. We do not let him play video games except 30 minutes maybe a month on Angry Birds. I have tried telling him all of the tricks for top scores for both.
I think it actually is the longest free fall drop in the world. Have you done x2 or x before it was remodeled?
