Who cares, enough with the worrying about Crosby, just go out and focus on playing smart and well. The more they start worrying about getting back at Pitts players the more they will get themselves back into a rut.
Pitt has those players who will try their darndest to disrupt Ranger flow.... Neal, Kunitz, Letang, Scuderi and (surprise surprise) Mr.Crosby to name some who make Ranger players retaliate.....all are sly and sneaky to get the Pens on their PP. Rangers must play within themselves with one goal. WIN. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RANGERS.
Hank does it in a scrum gets a $5000 fine. Thorton does it during a game $2800. Crosby spears a guy, no fine. NHL is such a joke with its "rules" and how it differs depending upon who does what to whom.
If you weren't too busy whining, maybe you'd realize Thornton's fine was 1/2 day's pay, max allowed per the CBA, and his salary just happens to be lower than Henrik's. If they used the same severity with Henrik, his fine would have been a lot more than $5K.
NHL always has priorities.......the privileged(the faces of the league) will be protected Crosby will always trump everybody else. Nothing has changed in 6 decades.
And how is this different than the NBA and Lebron/Jordan, etc, or the NFL and their star QB's, or MLB and the ridiculous things players get away with? Leagues will ALWAYS cater to their star players. I sure hope you realize this by now.
I don't give two hoots about the damn NBA..........another joke league. There are specific game rules about protecting QBs. Where are the rules about protecting the NHL elite players......it's unwritten. Really who gives a hoot about protecting Marc Staal from a hatchet job on his wrists. But it more than OK for Crosby to spear D Moore and not get a penalty. Hmmmm.

Hank should have really gotten his monies worth and pissed on him as he went by. I expect us to win tonight but in case things go south I hope at the end of the game Hank spears crosby in the nuts with his goalie stick and when that little bitch kunitz comes in to defend cindy Hank whacks him across the side of his head. The way crosby plays as good as he is I expect more teams to treat him like the flyers do and start cheapshotting the shit out of him. Watching boston implode in the last minute of the game last night was typical. I thought there was some kind of rule now if you start some shit at the end of the game your losing that you get suspended the next game. if thats true can't wait to see if the league has the balls to suspend lucic and thornton
The NHL will invoke the "Elite Player Rule". LOL ...I do not know who are the bigger wusses..... the players who initiate end game fracases or the people who run the NHL.
