I think the best I have gotten is Cosmic Commando. Have you gotten the 50,000 pt target on Zurg to work? I do not think I ever have.

Disneyland doesn't cost $100. It costs like $140. Ive gotten about 500,000 on Astroblasters. You get 100,000 if you hit the center of Zurg's chest. As for lines, I used to get a guest assistance card for being bipolar so I didn't have to wait in lines. They've changed it now though. You get appointments for rides (like FastPass but for all the rides) which is not as good as the previous benefits. Give Animation Academy a chance. They lead you through it step by step. You might surprise yourself. Did you go to Disneyland on February 29th, 2012? It was awesome. They kept the park open for 24 hours. I was there all night and it was really fun. Mickey, Minnie, and Donald came out in their pajamas and bathrobes.

Serious question, does being bipolar make it hard to wait in lines or were you just taking advantage of the guest assistance card?

Taking advantage BUT my first big episode that led to my diagnosis incidentally happened at Disneyland. May 5th, 2005, I woke up really depressed. Everything felt awful. Then suddenly, I was really really happy and randomly decided to go to Disneyland. When I got there, I went to Pizza Port and bought a slice of pizza. I sat down and started sobbing uncontrollably. And that's when I knew something was wrong. I was in terrible pain and didn't know why. I was diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar a few days later.

Nothing wrong with taking advantage, if I could find a way to cut down on those lines I sure as hell would use it.

yes and no. the original X was down both times when I was there in the early-mid 2000s.

The most intense coaster experience in Cali for me is actually Xcellerator at Knotts. It's big brother Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point is kind of on my bucket list, as is Millennium Force there. Never been to Ohio.

    $96 for 1 day Disneyland. $137 for a 1 day DL/CA parkhopper.

ever been on MiB @ Universal Orlando? pretty amazing if you like this type of shooter ride.

Whenever the lines get long for rides, my son will do a couple of classes. Last visit we did three in a row and the teacher gave him her drawing afterwards. He was pretty happy.

The So Cal select annual pass is only $279. It is only good for 170 days of the year, but they are all on days when traffic is brisk.

Yes multiple times in the first room. I've actually hit the 100,000 point target on Zerg in the last room a couple of times. You just need to know exactly where it's at on his chest. Takes practice but once you get the spot down you will hit it often.

The target on Zerg in the last room is just luck in my opinion.

They changed everything because people were hiring "handicap tour guides" for a thousand dollars a day to be able to skip lines. People were posting adds on craigslist.

Really shitty when people ruin shit like that for the people who need it. I've heard of parents who can't take their autistic children to disney anymore because they can't wait in line and those handicap tour guides ruined the benefits for them. :/

It kills me how people will take advantage of almost anything. What I have recently seen people taking advantage of is putting one family member in a line strategically so others can ride something else, then meet once the single family member is near the end of the line.

whoah somehow I missed this thread completely. Just got back from 6 days in Anaheim (5 Day pass with a day off after 3 days) To me Disney will have different effects on different people. Basically the nerdness of RoLo and Disney is me to a T. This is the first trip me and the Mrs took just us two, and we seriously do everything there, including the little re-enacment smaller shows, parades, etc, and the big productions like Fantasmic, and Aladdin.

To me, in anything atmosphere draws me in (Extrovert), and its probably why I love going to games at Rose Garden, PGE Park, and Autzen so much. But Disney does an amazing job with atmosphere. You can honestly feel like you are in a different place, if you let it. Cars Land, just walking through it I felt like I was on a movie set.

But if you are just looking for thrills, and Disney nostalgia is not at all important to you, I can most definitely see how Disney isnt your thing. Magic Mountain for example, was fun the 2 times I have been, but I couldnt see myself doing that for more than a day. Its just "Do the rides and get out" (and yes X2 is crazy) but with Disneyland I want to explore every single nook in that place. (Even though I have been there waaaaay too much)

I'm horrible at Astro Blasters. Got no comments on my Blazers gear once I left PDX, but did get some one Timbers gear though. (mostly foreigners in Soccer shirts who have heard of the Timbers Army)

Cars was fun, Little Mermain was great. I had a mission to take one Selfie each with my top 3 babes of Disney (inside joke between me and the wife) Got Jasmine, and Rapunzel pretty quickly.. getting a selfie with Elsa however was a chore. But it added a fun little game.

I guess you can get into Disneyland what you are willing to put into it. For me its an adventure, and an escape. So since its an adventrue for me the lines dont bug me as much, cause I'm legit excited for what I'm waiting in line for, much like a kid lol.

and a little further fyi once you get past 3 day passes for Disney the price per day isnt as bad. Our 5 day pass was an online deal where you get a 5 day adult pass for price of a Kids. So it was like $282 or $56 a day and you dont have to use all the days in a row. I guess their thinking is the longer you are there, the more you will spend on food and crap (which they were right in my case ugh)

Be honest, you're secretly pissed off Topo Gigio doesn't have a theme park in the US.
