Just saw a post from Joel Sherman that Sabathia will be out until at least July as per Cashman... When I see a real link, I'll post it...

He's terrible anyway. Sadly he's not missed.

Wow, I go away for a few days and all hell breaks loose. I know they have been winning but you cannot win with a rotation consisting of Tanaka (great) Kuroda (shaky at best), Phelps (belongs in bullpen), Nuno (long man or AAA), and Whitley (AAA).

They will have to find pitching somewhere. On top of that I now see Beltran probably needs surgery? How they replace his production I do not know. Work needs to be done by Cashman and Hal.

No problem, new game plan, check them on the boards, before they get the puck, I mean ball. Face off with high sticks, hook 'em from behind, and trip the opponent before they get the ball. Wrong Sport?

PS: keep 'em out of the center zone, on their own half of the field.

...don't see the pitching situation improving any time soon...so the offense needs to carry this team for awhile.

...it's just a matter of time before Tanaka hits a speed bump.

As far as I'm concerned Sabathia has been drawing a huge salary under false pretenses for quite a while.

...^^^ I know what you're saying, but IMO, you can probably also say that about 90% of the guys playing nowadays.

...I'd play Baseball for food...and if I were playing for the Yanx, they wouldn't even have to pay for my food.

Not too worried about CC being gone, frankly Nuno pitching about at his level. Kids need to step it up, and the O has to do better with RISP. Now a package for Samardijza could be interesting.

Before todays outcome on Sabathia I had fantasies on the Yankees fleecing the Cubs trading Samardzija for CC straight up. Damn that would be the deal of the century. Some one will wind up with Samardzija by trade deadline. Still laughing about the Cubs kicking Garzas can after he mouthed off about all the games he allegedly lost because of Cubs team play.

Cubs = a good resting place for CC. At this juncture, all CC is good for is batting practice. Only a shell of the once Cy Young Winner, he was....and will never be again....

I'm really pulling for those younger pitchers to step it up. Offense will have to do so as well, I believe McCann is on the verge of getting his bat in order. The man has been a God send to this pitching staff.

...peanuts is simply my fee for playing Baseball...on the other hand, I kill people for Chee-tos.

... In fact, ARod's life is hanging in the balance, pending the delivery of a case of the "Extra-Crunchy" Chester Cheetah jumbo bags.
