Different. I'm trying not to be as combative

IMO, Bradley instantly makes us better defensively, but Miller counters that, almost to a whole

Jermaine will be 36 next season and played 44 games this past year. I'm not sure he is the guy

I gave my names earlier in the thread

I'd love okafor over oneal too but I doubt we can sign him for the minimum. I like marion too but he's gonna cost more than 2 mil. Not really a fan of aminu. Yah olshey drafted him. He also traded him. If we got bradley and aminu that still doesn't improve the bench scoring that much.

    I think you'd be surprised.

It might not improve bench shooting, but scoring off turn overs, rebounds and such would be much higher. Instant tempo change

Bradley is a restricted free agent. I doubt we'll want to compete with Boston for his services. He averaged 30.9 mpg last year with Boston, and he's really their only point guard they have beyond Rondo. They'll probably look to resign him, or S&T, and I doubt we'll want to give up assets to get him.

Mike Miller played all 82 games for Memphis last year and averaged over 20 mpg. Memphis is over the tax, and doesn't have the BAE, only the tax MLE ($3.3M). They do have the non-Bird rights to Miller (120% of previous salary) if they want to up his salary a bit. They already have Prince (old) and Pondexter (young), so they'll probably only want to bring back Miller if it's at vet min salary.

Jermain O'Neal looked pretty good last year, especially considering his age. He average more than 20 mpg for GS, and was the first Big off the bench after Lee and Bogut (Speights only averaged 12 mpg). GS owns O'Neal's non-bird rights, and could also bring him back for the vet minimum.

The Blazers currently only have 2 roster spots open, I think a PG and a Big are priorities for our bench.

If Miller took one of those spots, I'd be a bit disappointed.

O'Neal wouldn't be bad for a big, but with our BAE and MLE available, I think Blatch, Hill, Jason Smith, Humphries, Blair and Adrien would all be better choices.

As for Bradley, I don't think we'll want to spend too much on him, especially with Livingston, Mills, Augustin, Sessions, Books, Blake, Stuckey and Farmar all available.

I thought Boston was going to bring back bradley no matter what but after doing some digging I'm not so sure anymore. He's not really a great fit with Rondo. I think he's definitely available. Olshey should pounce. Get Bradley here with Stackpole

BTW, your doing a damn good job of it today. Not that you need my approval or encouragement, but just wanted to say that the effort is noticeable and effective.

I disagree. That would be the optimal scenario, IMO, as long as the starting five remained intact. A S&T for Bradley would allow retention of our MLE for another significant addition.

I can see Boston being ok with moving him. They're already rumored to be looking at smart in the Draft. But I don't know what we'd offer that they'd want in a sign and trade.
We did however trade for Pavlovic from them to help them land someone in a sign and trade. So maybe some good history they're fir one good turn deserves another.

Wonder what they'd want in a S&T? I'd be ok giving up anyone not in the starting 5 except for trob

funny, I'd have no probs sending them Trob as I want a more experienced backup PF or backup PF/C, Jordan Hill could easily be had for the MLE or less (about what Trob gets paid). So we could perhaps land Bradley and Hill and still have the BAE and maybe a smaller part of the MLE left.

Was Magic a pass first PG? He often was leading the team in scoring.

Agreed. I'd hope a CJ/MyLe pairing might be a good start for a Bradley deal.

    Barton/Bradley/Aminu/TRob/(BAE center)--that's not a bad bench.

I prefer the flexibility that Hill offers as a PF/C and he is much more seasoned than TROB, but we all have our opinions.

I'd rather trade Barton than McCollum. Not sure who has more value in a trade, but CJ fits our system better.
