What sense does this make? his bat can't possibly condone his behavior and the kids are going to see that... http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/cubs-sign-manny-ramirez-as-triple-a-player-coach1-052514?cmpid=msn%3Afoxsports%3Aansfox11
I agree Steve. I mean he's pretty much already set his example & it wasn't good. And he's not someone that you want your kids to look up to. The guys a disgrace.
...Manny ended up being an embarrassment to the Sox while Theo was GM there, and things were just as bad with the Dodgers...why would he still want to align himself with a total ass hat like Manny ?
PR.....is that Public Relations, or Public Retardation? I can hear it already, "well son, looks like were turning in our Cubs Season Tickets, for Pale Hose ones"....
Saw Manny and that ignorant Redneck Kevin Millar together on MLB earlier this evening. Evidently they are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Winning the '04 Series. Needless to say something We'd all like to forget.
The only worse comparable event for me, in 04, was major spinal surgery...Tho' that was beyond description when it came to pain, surgery paled compared in comparison to the Bozox Series.
http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=10998567 He found God....finally listened to that voice in his head that kept saying he was being an idiot. I'll predict we see this route to atonement from ARod.
No way my friend A-rod has to big an ego. And besides, I just don't see New York fans being as forgiving. JMO.
I'd think, Manny may of found Peace with his God. Atoned for his sins and indiscretions. Tho' I doubt Fans will be as forgiving as God, or even a Priest...! Manny no matter how hard he tries, cannot atone to his fans. Perhaps his fans can forgive him, as a human being, off the field, as to err is human. On the Field, as a ballplayer, guilty of obsessive repetitive cheating, Forgiveness is just not in a Fans Vocabulary, not for on the field antics.
60+ year old fans may not be forgiving. But the younger generations of fans with short attention spans today?
