I am completely bias towards the NHL, but what do you guys thin?. Nothing beats a game 7 in the NHL IMO
I'm loving it! I hope the Blackhawks close out the Kings and pull off the repeat against the Rangers.
I've never watched a whole hockey game so I can't really judge but it seems like a hard sport to watch. You look away for a moment and they score the game's only goal? That sounds frustrating. But I know people love it. I'll go to a game someday. Maybe a Rangers game. I hear there's nothing like a hockey game live.
Yes. Great live sport. As someone who played forever, my advice to you is follow the flow and not the puck.
I'm glad you made this thread and I'll rep you for it! I'll take the NHL playoffs any day. To me the NHL playoffs are more exciting.
I'll take the NHL up until the conference Finals. To me the NBA Conference Finals and the Finals are a blast to watch even if I don't like the teams.
Well I love to watch the Blazers but in NHL playoffs I guess it's just that it's faster and more physical and some the hits/collisions are vicious. I really wish better defense was allowed in the NBA.
Yes. Hockey games are the best sport live, IMO. By the way, there are not that many 1-0 scores in hockey. It isn't Soccer.
The ONLY thing that really has taken me away from hockey (I grew up with the sport, mind you), is that the intermissions are too damn long. It kills the flow of the game for me. I know why they have to have it that long (The zamboni and such) but my attention span has gotten much shorter over the years (I'm like the opposite of how it's supposed to work. As a kid I could sit through anything).
i see about 40 ahl games a year in manchester, the kings "AAA" team if you will its cool to see all the players pass through on their way to the nhl, and hockey is definitely a great sport to watch live
I agree, the NHL is too mainstream man. I prefer the lower level leagues, the players play with more passion and you've probably never heard of them.
Even more rarely do you see Game 7 winners in the NBA bouncing off of the elbow of a defender and into a basket. Hockey sucks, and I actually watched this game. Just put the puck on the net and let luck determine a winner.
Its weird watching hockey fans at bars here. Dunno why, just kind of weird. Well, its weird watching Laker fans here too. People just come out of the woodwork for the big games.
That's up for debate. It seems like a ton of hockey goals I see are either re-directed by an offensive player by luck or off of a defender. I enjoy the sport live, but there is way too much luck involved in hockey for me. Plus, it's dependent largely on a goalie, which makes it like baseball to me, except baseball starting pitcher only pitch every 4th or 5th game in the postseason.
