I'm a budding young cook and have been told I'm pretty good. But, after a long ass day at work the last thing I want to do is cook. I find myself eating out a lot. Rarely fast food. I'm talking about calling up my favorite thai place, or calling up a good BBQ place and asking for an order to go.

How much do you eat out?

On weekends I'm a god damn BBQ meistro.

Have you tried Road Runner on Foster? It's a food cart. The brisket is sooooooo good.

Probably 3-4 nights. Used to be more. I recently started using my crock pot and have been making Chili and portioning it out in my freezer, good shit (I can eat the same thing everyday if its good).

The problem is if I cook shit, it usually goes bad because my schedule is so fluid.

I usually hit up some fast mediterreanan type places, where you get something like turkey meatloaf and two sides for 8 bucks, really good shit.

Very rarely, but I stay at home, so have all day to get things ready to prepare dinner. Maybe once every other week or so. But when I worked, it was probably once a week, but usually, it was't during the week outof laziness, more just we'd plan for meals during the week, and get to Friday or SAturday and say hell with it, let's just go out.

Ha! I haven't left my place since mid May. I guess that makes it way less than once a week.

Eating out in LA is the tits. Pretty good priced ethnic foods, and a wide variety.

I've been using the crock pot more too lately.

I've been doing beef and pork ribs in BBQ sauce then right before dinner I'll throw them on the BBQ for 5 mins to add that sear. Perfect!

    Yeah, I've been doing:

Random Protein + Veggies + Tomato Sauce + Tomato Paste + dried Beans or Legumes. Throw that shit in there in the AM, come home to some dope chili. Been eating it with some veggies, tonight I had some butternut squash and some roasted brocolette.

I'll try some pulled pork and other shit too, the simpler the easier for me, with this everything is in one dish for the most part.

I think most males will agree that the amount they eat out is mainly dependent on how often a mans lady desires to be out.

I could go for some BBQ right now...

I like to cook. It doesn't take very long. I just can't eat out that often, it's like throwing money away and I'm trying to accumulate as many assets as possible. When I do eat out I try to hit up happy hour, 65 cent wing night or bomb ass tacos at cartlandia for 99 cents a piece.

To be honest most of the time I eat out is because my wife wants to

That's pretty much me, too. I'm the chef in this family who does consulting work on projects (not very glamorous work, either), and I'll make homemade spaghetti sauce, or a bunch of taco meat, and spread it into a few leftover meals. It was hot dogs tonight, since we just were playing hoops as a family outside, and it was time to watch the rest of the game.

Maybe every other week we'll eat at a decent restaurant. My kids hate fast food, so that's nice.

Playa del Rey. About 3-4 miles south of Santa Monica along the coast. I'm always in Santa Monica/Venice though.

Yeah, I'm not huge on cooking tbh tbh. I have a small kitchen so I keep everything kind of minimalistic, I can't have a bunch of different spices. I will prob be in that hood on Saturday AM so maybe I'll peep.

They do give a nicely elevated shooting angle. I'm looking at a doe through my window as I type.

But all I shoot on my property are gophers and rabbits when they get out of hand, and an occasional coyote or neighbor's dog with the bb gun to let them know where my property line is.

I've tried "hacking" eating out, stocking up on sides and shit like that. Sometimes getting to-go side salads is good. Chinese food is pretty good for saving, but then you end up eating late at night.
