If you don't think there are contadictions, google "contadictions in the bible". If you don't think there are contadictions between the new and Old Testament, google "contradictions between the old and new testament". You will find tons of examples.

Christianity might be more than following the laws, but that is a major part of it, meaning if you don't follow you go to hell.

You don't have to follow the law or go to hell if you're a Christian. What are you Jewish?

Haha, I'm budathistian but I like bagels and lox.

Mags, how do you view the bible. Is it the word of god? Is it our best record of Jesus Christ? Are they important stories to learn how to walk with Christ? Do you take it literal, and if not, how do you choose. I'm not trying to catch you, I am just interested in your answer, as you have different answers to most of the outspoken Christians on this board.

I take God literally. I fell in love with Jesus's love letter to humanity. In the beginning, I was all about the bible being the literal word of God. Now I've evolved to believe it's inspired by God.

The only thing I care about is Jesus Christ's grace and payment for Sin. Now I live a life without doubt.

Regarding the highlighted portion, I like that way of thinking the most because it demonstrates not only the beauty of god, but also the beauty of people. As you know, it's not my way of thinking, but I do see something much more poetic about that interpretation.

And I'm sure you know I respect your views, even though we may argue about this.

    Cheers bro

I haven't looked through this thread to see if this is already posted but came across this today:

Some have probably already seen it.

It's not breaking the second law of thermodynamics because the solar system is not a closed system. There is energy coming in from somewhere else. There isn't one tornado needed to make a complete Lamborghini. We have billions of "tornados" happening at the same time. And they don't have to make a full Lamborghini. I love how he still gets his social media marketing in there too. Oh and 'Uni' means one, and 'verse' comes from 'versus' meaning turned. Which means coming together to be one.

You ask how Genetic code came to be? Many people have answered that question many different times in a very similar way.

I have another question, Does anyone know of the spontaneous generation of code for any thing, any where, in any history other than the atheist speculation for live? I can only think of code laid by man
for a plethora things but never for life and never spontaneous.

How broad is your definition of "code?"

If people do not believe in evolution, that's their right. And it's my right to view those people as non-observant fools. And it's their right to view me and my evolutionist beliefs as foolish. On occasion I meet people who don't believe in evolution and they usually fall into one of four categories. 1) Confrontational, they just deny for the fun of it, and like the act of disagreeing with scientific reasoning. 2) Uncontemplative, they were raised with a different belief and never took the time or thought to try and understand evolution and how much sense it makes. 3) Obtuse. Their religious beliefs get in the way of logic, they try and understand but can't seem to wrap their brains around an answer that goes against what their religion has taught them. 4) Stupid. scientific reasoning is too complex for them. If it weren't Jesus it would be astrology, or some other system that gives them all the answers.

I thought someone might put forward the notation for atoms. But is that code or just the observed structure. Hardly spontaneous except with the Big Bang and I have never heard that created life or the Genetic code.

I missed this the first time. If I was God I would have made the girl's stuff separate. I like my stuff just the way it is.

This debate is silly and will only get sillier over time. In fact I firmly believe the majority of religious folk have some doubts toward their own religion deep down inside of them, but of course they'd never, ever admit it.
