Re: Official FA Rumors Thread I agree with you analysis that if Lebron stay depends on if those two opt out or not. Do you know the deadline when they have to make that decision?
Re: Official FA Rumors Thread Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh still haven't had sit-down to discuss future together, league sources tell Yahoo. Coming soon.
Re: NBA trade rumors And...Olshey ready to pounce. This is what I'm talking about. One man's trash is another man's treasure. There will be plenty of teams letting go of players we could use. I hope Olshey can find a way to get involved in some of this action.

Re: Official FA Rumors Thread Lebron too Houston makes too much sense. A line up of Beverly, Harden, Parsons, James and Howard is clearly the best in the NBA. Since Parsons cap hold is so small if they can deal Lin and Asik for cap space and find a taker for Jones or Montejunas they can offer Lebron 19 million pay Parsons whatever with his Bird rights and then still have a room level exception to add a bench piece and then they can add all the ring seeking vets they want at the min.
Re: Official FA Rumors Thread I'd love for the Heat to play hardball and lose LBJ for nothing. Then all they can do with the cap space is to sign Lance Stephenson to a huge contract.
Re: NBA trade rumors With Lebron's opt out, and everyone dreaming of scooping up both James and Melo, lots of team are going to be trying to dump salary, which means lots of opportunities to nab some quality players. Wish we had more flexibility. On a side note, I saw ESPN reporting that Lakers were among those fantasizing about pairing Lebron, Melo and Kobe, and that they could use their 7th to entice someone to take Nash's salary off their hands...My fantasy trade is move LA to Cleveland for #1 and enough free capspace to take Nash and #7, then build around Damian with Wiggens and BPA at #7. Cleveland could even force us to take back Bennett, and we would have the all-Canada team.
Re: Official FA Rumors Thread What team in the NBA would do this without at least getting Parsons back? Taking on Houston's bench player that are paid like rotation players is just nuts.
Re: Official FA Rumors Thread I can see a team taking Asik without much incentive, he's a quality C that could start for a lot of teams. Lin, I think they'd need to add value. Their pick, future pick/picks, Jones, Montiejunas, etc.
Re: Official FA Rumors Thread Imagine if they signed Pierce with the room exception. They could bring in Ray Allen, and Elton brand at the min maybe Hinrich too. That would be Beverly Hinrich Harden Allen Parsons Pierce James Brand Howard And either Jones, Montejunas or pick #25 someone like Mitch McGary That team would be a title contender for sure.
Re: NBA trade rumors I heard from a source that the Blazers are actively trying to buy into the first round, probably a mid to late pick. PA loves the draft too much to be left out, and Olshey likes this draft.
Re: NBA trade rumors That sounds like the Karl Malone, Shaq, Kobe, Gary Payton fiasco. It's great to team up great players, but they have to fit together. That is the genius of what Pat Riley did - Wade, LeBron, and Bosh all complement each other (pretty) well. Real NBA is different than fantasy league NBA.
Re: NBA trade rumors Glad to hear this as there has been very little talk (rumors) with regard to the Blazers this summer. I like Olshey's style of keeping his hand close to his chest and not letting much leak out, but it kills me as a Blazer fan. Let see what Olshey can do. With limited roster spots and cap room and not many players on the bench with apparent value, it doesn't seem like he has much to work with besides Allen being a deep pocket owner.
Re: NBA trade rumors I have no doubt we'll have a pick in the draft. Maybe clear some guys like Claver for more roster space while we're at it?
Re: NBA trade rumors Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 1m One source insists nothing imminent, but I'm told Pistons and Kings have discussed a trade that would send Josh Smith to Sacramento Sactown still wants ALL the 3-4 swing men, even though it's a different regime.
Re: NBA trade rumors With LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony officially opting out of their contracts, multiple teams have begun the process of exploring roster moves that would create sufficient salary-cap space to try to sign 2014's marquee free agents in tandem this summer, according to sources close to the situation Teams with cap space have incredible leverage this summer.
