Umm the clippers aren't getting lebron without giving up jordan at least. He can come to Portland and still have a center :)

I don't think you get remembered for how many times you get to the finals . . . Lebron's legacy will be how many times he won a championship.

Why? I don't think Miami will be in the driver's seat if Lebron wants to leave. In fact I'm guessing they would much rather sign and trade him to the west then see him go the Bulls.

In all probability, the Blazers will have 2 roster spots available and limited resources to sign 2 players. The Spurs are so good because they've kept the core together for so many years as well as the coach. They lead by example. Constantly shuffling the roster deck can more often than not be a step backwards for a playoff team. We need bench scoring and defensive improvement from the entire team. I think we'll see Watson and Mo gone and two new players in their place. Lebron is going to play in Chicago or Miami. I don't see him in the west ever. Melo might go west but not to Portland.

I disagree. I remember the Jazz getting to the finals twice against the Bulls. Sloan, Mailman, Stockton....HOF without rings

Because the clippers can't sign him so they would have to do a sign and trade and the salaries would have to match up

I'm not talking Malone or Stockton who were great and all (and who many think as HOF who never won it all) I think those guys fall into the category of Barkley, Wilkens, Ewing.

Then you have the elite guys like Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq and Lebron . . . who you talk about how many rings they have.

But you're right, every fan remembers players for individual reasons and some probably remember how many times they went to the finals.

Your post makes me think of Lillard's commercial:

    Forget Lebron, check this out:

Tim Bontemps: Can confirm the report by @Chris Haynes that Alan Anderson plans to opt out of his contract and become a free agent, per a league source

Is Chris Haynes angling for a national gig or something? It seems like very few of his tweets are pertinent to the Blazers these days (not that there's much to talk about right now).

Why would lebron want to go to the clippers with no griffin?? How is that better than Portland with Lillard and aldridge? Lillard Matthews aldridge lebron lopez> paul lebron jordan, whatever

That lineup isn't beating the Spurs. I'd possibly favor the Thunder over them depending on off season moves.

Also, Collison and Big Baby are free agents not guaranteed to return to the Clipps.

If LeBron is going to go anywhere it probably ought to be to Cleveland and give something back to that organization and fan base. Their is still unfinished business there and the roster I think can be better than anyone he was ever on in Cleveland after this summer.

He doesn't strike me as a sentimental kind of person.

That you and I know of.

It would not surprise me to see him go back to Cleveland. I think there is unfinished business there.

    The article says this:

One official said James really liked Rivers and was good friends with Clippers point guard Chris Paul.

Another official said James’ wife, Savannah, really loved Los Angeles, and that her preference would be for her husband to play for the Clippers rather than the Lakers if he decided to leave.

But like you said, whatever. There are so many possible situations when it comes to Lebron and heis likely re-signing with the heat anyways. I do hope he stays in the east.

He chose a path of least resistance in Miami with Wade and Bosh. He may choose that path again (that could be with a different team).

I didn't say it was better than Portland. But I think it is more appealing to Miami.

Plus you have to add the doc rivers factor now that he is running the show. I am sure he will sell him on adding more players.

Token offer. I don't see it as something Minny would consider.
