Really??? Come on, at least don't completely destroy your own argument in the first post of a thread you created.
Yes, that's true. Sadly, it destroys your entire idea that you thought was brilliant enough to deserve its own thread.
Ask Cleveland how making sure a player would accept the MLE before setting them free works. Better yet, count the millions Boozer made in Utah.
The last year of Lopez's contract was guaranteed BEFORE the blazers even traded for him. Olshey said so during his end of season interview. cmeese47's idea is impossible. My prediction is that cmeese47 will continue defending his trade idea anyway, just for fun!!!
Wouldn't it be easier to just teach Lopez how to be a point guard and then use the MLE to sign a center?
You are 100% correct and I have deleted my offensive posts. I would like to apologize to you for that.
Which would be stupider? In a hypothetical trade that would send Asik from Houston to Portland in a similar deal that was made last year for R Lopez. A.Houston for unloading their talented higher salaried big to Portland to open up cap space. I'm thinking Portland would look again at Asik B. Portland for helping/enabling Houston to free up cap space in the move to sign LeBron.
