I'm with you. If it were possible to get Lebron without losing those two and every other supporting player, I think he'd at least consider Portland, along with his other options.

Hahahaha! I blame Houston on thinking Carmello is an upgrade over Harden on the Blazers!

I forgot about Wookee, but he wouldn't make the trade based on hating James, and not based on overall talent. :)

If Lebron endorsed Coors Light Wookee would love the guy.

Let's think about it. Matthews/RoLo/LMA will all be UFAs, which means there will be cap space. Couldn't Portland make a run at another team's UFA, sign him, and then re-sign LMA and RoLo (or even Matthews) to a number over the cap to the Bird rights? Isn't that basically what Miami is trying to do this year?

Are you suggesting Lebron could perhaps buy Wookie's affection? How many cases do you think it would take?

the guy straight up has said he enjoys Portland and feels comfortable and "at home" there (mentioned Nike). Look at the numbers he puts up when he comes to Portland. We know he's friendly with Lillard and Aldridge. We know Olshey is aggressive. Went after Hibbert when everyone knew Indy wasn't letting him go. Went after LeBron in 2010 when he was the GM of the Clippers and actually secured a meeting, despite the Clippers having nobody on their team (outside of a rookie Blake Griffin). I just don't see why he wouldn't give it a shot. Name a better potential starting 5 than Lillard-Matthews-Aldridge-LeBron-Lopez? A sign and trade with Batum, McCollum, Leonard and Wrights expiring works.

their cap holds would likely be to high to have any significant space if we were to retain them all.

Based on conversations with sources around the league it sounds like a better than 50% chance Cavs deal 1st pick.

To Utah would be my guess. They are ready to build around Jabari.

Report: Heat, Cavs, Rockets, Knicks, Nets top LeBron's list, not Clippers

Yeah, LMA alone would destroy that idea. I heard Jaynes talking about it on the radio yesterday; obviously he didn't have all of the information at hand.

    Heat - the most money
Rockets - the most stacked if he joins
    Cavs - coming home
Knicks - other than a huge media market, I have no idea why
Nets - LeBron, JJ and D-Will...not bad and Prokhorov has Paul Allen type pockets

If he is about winning, the choices are fairly restricted. If he is about his 'brand', he could go almost anywhere.

It it's about winning, then Miami and Houston are the only to viable options on that list. Every other team is a rebuild project, and he'll be 30 years old next season.

Yep. As was letting Nash go. IMO Cuban is scared and making bad moves after the Finley contract.

Not a bad haul for NY and they also got out of Felton's deal.
