How is it Houston moved all their contracts for Howard and now for Lebron? While the Blazers can't even move for air?
His usage would have dropped significantly with a healthy Holiday and Anderson around to share the scoring burden with him and Davis
90% of the Soccer Moms would be reluctant to involve Robinson or McCollum in any trade This roster needs to get better. Just waiting and banking on the starting 5 and no bench is foolish. The draft and MLE mean nothing. Neil needs to pull something off to keep up.
They either get decent players with value IE Asik or terrible players they can easily walk from White for example. Plus 2 starters made under a million last year.
the :MARIS61: has already started, I see, like it usually does on trade deadline day and on draft nights, when we don't land some huge player in a sweetheart deal for us, regardless of availability.
like i posted before, the blazers could dump enough salary to offer a near max without touching the starters
I'm sure i'll say this again but just because there are no rumors out there of what Portland is doing doesn't mean Olshey isn't working the phones. Olshey has been great about working things both in Portland and the Clippers without the deal getting leaked before it pretty much happened.
I think Oshey will make his move after the next 24 hours. He is going to let the draft pass, and try to get some deals.
I'd take it a step further and point out that it's usually the deals that aren't talked about that end up getting done.
Let's hope he's doing something that will make a real impact The roster right now just isn't a contender. If it's not a contender soon the Blazers will either waste the remaining 3-4 years of Aldridge's prime, or he gets fed up and bolts next offseason. A meaningful move must be made.
We could open up around 14 million if we were able to trade every single player not currently a starter, that won't sign Melo or Lebron that might be enough though to sign PJ Tucker Spencer Hawes and Anthony Morrow
